Do you think that if you play "dark" music..ghosts will be drawn to it?

I'm just trying to understand what "draws" ghosts to places that weren't previously haunted. If it's not the land and not the house...then there must be something else that makes them come there..to that particular house. Otherwise..if they didn't want to be there for some particular reason...wouldn't they go house to house till they found one they liked? (Hope somebody understands what I mean! )

  1. Following Kimberlee Ann's comment I'm inclined to agree that its a vibration thing.  Music has been used throughout the centuries and by different cultures in ritual and religion to communicate with the other side and gain insights and visions.  So if someone is tuned into some dark tune perhaps they do act as a conduit for a spirit to make contact.  Fascinating theory.

PS: Deenie I'm very much like you, after a lifetime of experiences and research,  I've recently found this place and its proving to be  a real 'crash course' in the paranormal and i'm very grateful for all the info. :)

  2. Great question Deenie. This is one to ponder. I do not think that ghosts would respond to eerie music per se, but I do think that it might raise the living persons vibrations a notch, thereby creating a setting for an energy to be drawn to more so. Music though, is a great conducter of energy in the mind. It is a known fact that music alters our brain waves, even Peter has to agree with that fact. It does affect our hearts and brain in a physical manner.... so although I think you were wondering if that scary music from an old Dracula movie might make a spirit appear, which I don't think it would, I do think that music could affect the person trying to have an experience. Hope this helps.

  3. The way I understand it is that ghosts actually don't travel around from house to house looking for somewhere they like.  Ghosts are supposed to be spirits who aren't finished here and still have business with the living, hence haunting someone.  Not necessarily haunting them in a bad way..maybe they have something to tell them or maybe protecting them from something.  I really don't think any type of music draws ghosts, unless it's something they like or make them remember something when they were alive..but to say they draw them to it ? I don't think so.  And  ghosts aren't supposed to have evil connections, so why would they be drawn to "dark" music anyway?  I understand that ghosts are actually attached to a certain house (maybe theirs) or the land that maybe their house was once on, or maybe where they died (hospital, house, etc..) or killed.  That's what I think.

  4. I don't think music has anything to do with drawing ghosts. I think some people "attract" ghosts and those ghosts might follow them from place to place (when they move to different houses, etc.) That is what I have heard anyway. It is also possible that these places already WERE haunted but the ghosts weren't active until something/someone "woke them up" (construction on a house can make ghosts angry...they still feel as if it is their home)...I could tell you many things about ghosts!

  5. A long time ago, when I would play a CD from Black Sabbath, there was one particular song (Zero to Hero) that seemed to draw in negative energy.

Every time I played that song, I swear I could hear a long sword being drawn, like in old pirate movies and the blade was over 2 feet long.

I thought I was imagining things, but then a friend came over, I played the song, and sure enough we both got that creepy feeling and heard a sword being drawn from its holster.

Weird, I know. But I threw out that CD after my friend freaked out.

  6. depends, most music wont do anything to a ghost or spirit but if the entity has had some type of memory with a certain song then yes you could trigger something, whether its good or bad wont be known until it takes place.

  7. Why would ghosts be the equivalent of emo kids?

I've been playing RPG (Dungeons & Dragons) for 20 years now.  Kids being 'influenced' by these games have great imaginations.  That's about it.

  8. I don't think that music really has any effect on the presence or lack of ghosts.  If it has any effect at all, it would be to put the listener into a mind where they are more receptive to seeing or communicating with spirits.  Some activities, such as using a Ouija board, performing rituals, etc. will break down the "wall" that exists between the material and spirit world.  These things can be to blame for attracting ghosts to a previously unoccupied area.  They are also very dangerous, because they do not allow you any control over *what* you attract.  Demons and other dark spirits who were never human are adept at mimicking the dead to get the attention and freedom they want.  It is common for a non-human entity to masquerade as a ghost in order to gain trust, so that they can get a bigger leg up into the material world.  Essentially, attention = power to manifest to spirits.  If you were in an area with a dark presence or ghost, and you made contact with it, it gives it an easier ability (growing over time) to have a material presence.

As well, ghosts can be attracted to a previously unoccupied area because of a person's ability to see or hear them (or simply feel their presence).  If there were a haunting that had any free movement (most hauntings are attached to an area), yet there was no one at their area who could even feel their presence, they might migrate to another house where there was a spirit medium who could detect them.  They generally do not want to be ignored.  Many ghosts are lonely and simply want to be known.  Dark spirits and entities have their own agenda for why they want attention, but they will go from place to place until they find a person with the requirements they want, so they can manipulate them.

So, in answer to your question.  No, I don't think that music, by itself, has any effect on the presence of spirits.  The entity is most likely attracted to a person there (or some kind of spiritual nexus, which is a geographic location that has some kind of oddity in its energies that give spirits something they need).  It would be easier to answer if you gave a specific situation, but I hope this helps.

  9. I am not sure that music has an effect on a haunting.

I know that Items brought into the home can have spirits attached. There have been cases when something is done to the property (remodel, or ground excavation) a place starts to have some spiritual life.

If you listen to music that gives you energy it could possibly give a spirit energy.

  10. Good heavens no!!! If that were true my house would be packed like sardines! Virtually all the music I listen to is dark.

  11. Playing dark music hasn't worked for me yet!!!  Ha-Ha!!!  From what I have read and seen about ghosts, spirits or paranormal, they are drawn to the houses/places that they have suffered or died in.  Places that evil deed have occurred tend to be the places spirits dwell.  They haven't found closer so to speak and are still looking for something.  Look me up if you would like to talk more on the subject if your interested.

  12. No and a ghost wouldn't be drawn to it, ghost are in an area that would be considered a classic haunting, Ghosts have no free thinking , normally they just repeat a historical event over and over like a broken record.  A psychic impression so to speak.

  13. Im going to answer this from my personal experience, and not from anything i have read up on....

Certain types of music will draw a certain energy towards you..and YES it does happen...also it has to do with your surroundings...

Lets start with my cousin from many years ago, she got into a certain band.. and one day when she opened her front door, she came across a snake, that just sat there..this was in the city, not common for snakes to be around, and only that one time..after that, she burned all her records and threw out all her music, she had felt something evil was building up around her home..Then she became a church person, to rid the evil..but thats not enough to go by....

In my teens, i had become involved with dark music, /bands..my friends and i also experimented with trying to contact spirits..so it was a combination of both..I can not tell you enough about the events that took place in my home, not only with me, but with my friends as well...My bed shook by itself one night, i sat there, just looking at it, couldnt believe what i was seeing..during the day, while playing the music, I had a clock fly off the wall, and it was on a hook, instead of a nail, and flung across the room, in front of everyone...Another day, still with the same music, when i walked into the kitchen, we heard a loud bang, coming out of the lounge.. To my amazement and everyone else, I had a big glass ash tray sitting on the tiled area, it exploded, and with slime around the floor...I still dont understand the slime, where it came from..(I can put two together though).. My apartment became so evily haunted, with the evil energy manifesting with the music..It fed off the music..I ended up not being able to stay there anymore, it got so out of hand.. I had my friends mother, come and cleanse it, and what she told me, what was there, It completely shocked me...Music creates its own energy, and when you get the same two energies, they feed off each other..Put it this way..at the time my dogs would not go in there, (my house)..My sister who lives there now, (well supposed to LOL) cannt get out of her head at the things that happened there, The place is ok now, but when she thinks of back then, it freaks her out, and she stays with our mum....

In my home now, while i was renovating, i wanted to create such a blissful and angelic feel to it...The day i played the Gregorian chants, I had that ghostly encounter, with the monks, as you know... Then as of last week ive been playing dark music, from all them years ago, and sure enough, i started creating bad energy, and have had a few strange nights, with some strange occurances happening again, but not as bad....They dont go from house to house, they are attracted to a particular energy, that draws them in.....and thats a fact...

EDIT...Anya believe me when i say, certain music will draw certain energy to you, and if you are not strong enough to deal with it, it will scar you for life..It goes from your average haunting, to a very dark place that surrounds you, there are powers that people dont understand, or experienced....

  14. i think playing that kind of music not necessarily draws them... but make them notice you.. friends of mine who surf the internet a lot, knowing i am interested in the paranormal have invited me to some website where they play satanic songs or something like that.. time after time i have rejected their invitations stating that i dont wanna get into those stuff.

i just dont .. i do beleive that when you play them.. you get noticed.. and if they find you weak,.. they may start disturbing you..and honestly denie.. i dont think i am strong enough..

  15. Ghosts don't exist. Der

  16. I understand what you mean but....I mean I dont know If I beleive in ghosts...but lets just say that ghosts DO exists. maybe go to a grave yard find a grave stone you like and ask the persons soul to come and live with you...just curious, why do you want ghosts in your house?

  17. No if there not there you can just bring them to you.       sorry

  18. you mean soul music
