  1. As a matter of routine....NO.

In cases approved by a court....Yes.

    National security overrides personal sensibilities.

  2. You really should get medication if you beleive that.

  3. Yes yes and yes. My brother refuses to talk about important matters of the phone as he is convinced that all calls are monitored on a random basis by the government.

If you have bluetooth get rid of it because there is proof postive that anyone can hone in the calls to and from your mobile.

  4. On a large scale you have Echelon amongst others which sift through all data traffic (Menwith hill). On a smaller scale due to recent government bills even your local council have the right to monitor all data transmissions and they do.

  5. Yes.  The Echelon system scans telephone calls looking for key words which might indicate a call is worth tapping into, a system called Raptor can do the same for emails.

  6. i think there are certain watch words that jump out, if all emails, texts, phone calls were watched/listened too, there would be just too much to take in, i thnik they are only taken notice of if certain words or phrases are used - and i ain't tryin any out on here!!!!

  7. Who cares? I don't care if the government listens to my phone calls. I have nothing to hide and don't talk with any terrorists either. Listen in. I welcome it.

  8. Yes!I do!It would not surprise me if GCHQ monitor this site from time to time!It would be interesting  though how they diplomatically talk it through with Incompetent Gordon Brown with some of the comments made about him!!

  9. Do you have any idea how boring that would be?

Governments just aren't that competent, BT certainly isn't...
