Do you think that it's okay for government to legislate at the tip of a gun?

And don't say that "If the democrats are in power, they wouldn't do that" because they would. If you can't afford to pay taxes to cover the cost of social programs (welfare, social security, etc...), they are going to send men with guns to collect you and hall you off to a jail cell. If you resist, you get shot.

Same with the Republicans. If you can't afford to pay taxes to cover their war, the same thing will happen to you. Not to mention, they send men with guns after people that decide to grow a certain plant. They want to legislate what you put into your own bodies.

It all seems so morally wrong! The end results might be good, but at what cost?

Do you think that society will ever evolve to the point that we won't need the government and their guns anymore?

What are you suggesting?  Dissolve the government so criminals with guns can run the show instead?  Peace and harmony might work in your hippy commune, until you all grow up and snap out of it, or kill each other from paranoia.  

Laws are the result of legislation drafted by the people.  If you disagree with the law, then vote to change it.  If you feel the law is unfair, then exercise your constitutional rights and appeal to the supreme court.  Breaking the law is not the answer, and yes; you will be arrested for breaking the law.  This is how civilized society works.  You can either be a part of it, or go somewhere else.  There are plenty of countries which don't give a d**n what you want to poison yourself with.  Try one of those.

Liberty hon,  COME ON NOW,  how in God's green earth could the demmie politicians(magicians!) do that???  THEY BACK GUN CONTROL!!!  I mean only the police state would have guns then.   You wouldn't think the demmie politicians would let the police forcefully remove you from YOUR "suppossed" property cause they want you to pay a "ransom" called taxes on YOUR "suppossed property?

AND, those lovably repubie politicians(magicians!), they would NEVER do that.  I mean they WANT ya armed, JUST not as heavy as the feds SWAT teams!   And, their AGAINST taxes!  Don't beleive it,  Just ask em & they'll tell ya so!!!  Just make sure ya don't fall in the rears on your VOLUNTARY taxes.  The repub magicians may be against taxes,  but that don't mean they don't like collecting them.

No, unfortunately socirties do NOT EVOLVE,  they DEVOLVE.  Park a brand new corvette out in the back field & leave it for ten years.  When ya go back to get the vette,  do ya think it will still look new?  It's gonna look bad, REAL BAD!  People/societies DEVOLVE just like the physical world.  Firearms will always be needed by ALL people in a civilized society

As far as smoking maryjoanna,  thats a dead issue.  Now it's OBESITY & tater chips that's the killer of societies,  tho I'm sure TOBACCO will surface again when taxes need to be raised again.  

All I can say is RETAIN your Libertarian philosophy,  as that is all that seperates you from your concerns mentioned in this post.  Indeed,  that's how I manage to maintain my sanity in the political part of my life.

Wow, being that those men with the guns would be police officers, then you are describing a type of anarchy. no more policemen, allow the criminals to roam free and do as they will.

Not paying your taxes is against the law.

Growing Marijuana is against the law.

Illegally entering the country is against the law.

Robbery is against the law.

Rape is against the law.

Need i keep going, because in your society the criminals sure will.
