  1. No.

A more effcient strategy is to have better spots allocated to high turnover parking.  The closest parking should be either handicapped to deal with their issues or limited time parking.  That way all the people that come and go have less time travelling to and from their car to go into and exit a facility.  It's a time management strategy to minimize the loss of time of society as a whole to travelling to and from a car.

  2. pubLic areas (pubic is quite another thing).

And yes, I do - people need incentives to help protect the environment, and people who help hurt it should be slightly inconvenienced because of the future inconvenience they're causing the rest of the world.

  3. no

  4. they should park in the parking spaces farthest away, since they are burning less gas than other vehicles, it won't be as damaging to the envioronment when they drive that extra 100 yards to those crappy spaces in the back.

Plus, those hybrid cars look ugly as h**l, so who wants to be forced to look at them as they go to and from the place the parking lot is for? Its asthetically more pleasing to the eye to get those fugly things parked in the back, and the gas-guzzlers like Corvettes and Mustangs up in front.

  5. If the parking is gvmt owned, they should not discriminate.  Private ownership can set what ever rules they want.

  6. Yes, it helps our environment, which helps us all in the end.

  7. I don't let any cars park in my pubic areas.

I think it is right that hybrids get better spots. I think it's great that they can use the carpool lane, too. Anything that makes the average consumer more likely to buy a hybrid is pretty good with me.

  8. No.  First come first serve.
