If you go in and you don't like what's on the menu or the prices or something, is it rude to just leave without ordering anything?

  1. No way!!!What ever reason it may be ,,,,do it

  2. no. if you aren't feeling it, why would you eat it?  You as a citizen have the right to leave a restaurant if you don't like anything that is on the menu. And besides, why should you care, chances are that nobody in there knows you. So don't be afraid to leave!

  3. no it isnt there are reasons why you could just walk out a resturant for instance the service doesnt come to serve you and tell you they are your waiter/waitress in under 5-10 minutes if longer just leave and find another resturant.

  4. No, it happens from time to time. The staff would prefer that you leave rather than stay and not enjoy your meal or be able to pay for it. That's why a lot of places display their menus in front, before you are seated.

  5. No not at all, I doubt the staff would mind either tbh, they would understand, there's no point staying in for something you can't afford don't like.  Although I've had a cringe worthy experience with work where we went for a lunchtime meeting 11 of us they rearranged the tables for us, we got all our papers out, before the boss decided that he didn't like anything on the menu so we had to all walk out after causing chaos.

  6. LOL, Curlygirl! I was going to rate you but I am not level 2. Your right about that, most resturant knows and if it a very busy place they'd say that and the next pack will come in in a second.

  7. Of course not. You don't like what they have to offer, So you should leave right?

But if you was invited there, I think that would be rude :P

  8. not at all, you're going to be paying them so it's your decision

  9. If you sit at the table and it's set for dinner service, then yes it is rude to just leave, they will have to clear the table and put new dinnerware on it. I would advise you to call ahead, or better yet go online or ask someone who has been there.

    hope this helps

    i love diet coke alot

  10. No I don't think it's rude; not at all.  I've done it a number of times.  I don't see why a person should have to eat at a restaurant where they don't like what's on the menu or if they find it too pricey for their wallet or even if the looks of the restaurant are not suitable.

  11. haha no its not rude.

it really doesnt matter i would think

because they will  get more customers anyways.

    =]

they might be like "wtf?" but like 45 seconds later they would forget!

    lol

  12. YES...IT IS CAUSE THEY MIGHT THINK YOU DONT LIKE THE PLACE AND THINK ITS RUDE!!

  13. No you have that right. at least you gave them a chance. If you don't like the food choices why would you stay?

  14. no ...what if you do not like anything?

  15. just look at the menu before you are seated and it's totally fine...

  16. NO

If you don't like it don't eat there.

In the UK all restaurants have to display their menu and price list in the window so you can read it before going in.

This avoids the problem you are referring to.

If you went in to any other shop and asked the price of something and said thanks mate and walked out it would be the same.

You are entitled to know the price of anything before you decide whether to buy it or not.

  17. If the place is packed and there are people behind you waiting to be seated, yeah that's rude. Otherwise, no.

But typically, I ask to see the menu before I'm seated so I can figure out if they have anything I'll like.
