Do you think that just because someone is in the spirit world...they're smarter than people who haven't died ?

"smarter" implies mental capacity for learning... so i would say they are no smarter than when they were alive.

but as for less ignorant.... yes, they are less ignorant because infinite knowledge is available to them once they die. =)

No.  They still have their knowledge as if the were still alive, but may have some breaks or gaps in it.

When a soul passes over to the world of Spirit they are truly enlightened and its at this point in their existence that they are highly attuned to Universal knowledge and likewise sees more than how they would if they still existed on the earthplane.

You ask a great question. Someone will not listen to a word that "Uncle Charley" said when he was alive but now that he's dead, they run to a seance to try and find out what his opinion is on something. It doesn't make sense to me.

In any case. God said that we shouldn't go to mediums (channelers)  to ask questions. We should ask Him and He will give us the answer. My own experience of many years is that God will do that if I am humble enough to ask Him.

Doubt it. Maybe they could have a better perspective, but the "know all" is probably wrong.
