  1. no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these silly answers indicate how stupid and empty minded are those people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LEBANON = MuSLIM + CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!!!instead of making religion  a way to make people close together they are using it  as a way to civil WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   GUYS PLEASE WAKE UP WE NEED PEACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    peace out

  2. my image of lebanon includes christians maranites muslims sunnis and i actually like it even though i'm a muslim but i like it it show how well lebanese people deal with each other although theirreligionn differs in the end they are all called ''lebanese'' and we all are ''arabs''

  3. Of course Lebanon will be an Islamic country someday, and someday soon. The Christians are leaving, the Shiites are having more babies, and the Hezbollah-Palestinian-Syrian axis is dominating. It's already 70 percent Muslim. And I can promise you, all my Lebanese friends, after what we've seen in Gaza, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Algeria, and my very own Egypt, that when that happens your country will be a hellhole. Sorry guys, but the Switzerland of the East is over.

  4. No, I hope not...I want a secular Lebanon, not a country ruled by religion.

Edit: Thumbs down for what? you people have to realize that not everyone in Lebanon is Muslim, seriously, respect others beliefs and religion.

  5. GOD knows

  6. I hope no !!..the particularity of Lebanon is just the diversity about the pple living there.

I wish Lebanon becomes a secular country Is not good for any country to mix religion with politics.........and the leaders of the countries have to respects the behavior of all the citizens.

Which the advantage of being islamic is?? or...Which the advantage of being christian is?? Why not  live in harmony without think if your religion is better than mine...or me thinking that mine is better than yours?

Let pple practice whatever religion they  want.

So..NO...I dont think Lebanon will be islamic.

  7. lebanon is a country for everyone, all religions and they have lived to co live in lebanon for years, and it's part of the constitution and the law also

  8. inshllah one day Lebanon will be an Islamic republic not with the extream Shria laws look at the Islamic republic of Afghanistan, the Islamic repubic of pakistan

  9. Nope, its impossible for Muslims to rule it (by law).. but it might have more Muslim people living in it in the next few decades , i don't know about that...

  10. i wish people can learn to say just plain "No I do not think so" rather than saying things like "OH I HOPE NOTT!!!!!!!!!!!" its sorta rude.

and my answer is No I do not think that is a possibility due to the large christian minority (they make up around 40% of lebanon's population)

  11. I don't think so.

Maybe the Muslim communities will grow bigger and stronger... but I'll think Beirut’s lifestyle will continue ;)

  12. i hope so. but with all this war goin on.. but inshallah it will. do you WISH it were???

    cuz i do.

  13. If you have a good look at the region the only countries that have serious issues of instability are those where religion is the dominant determining factor in politics.

It is obvious that it is also destabilising the growth potential of Lebanon , the stability of Government , the peace & prosperity of its' people....

If anyone thinks that by having one religion dominate the government all of your problems will disappear , think again! There will be a stifling effect on tourism , a brain drain as young people leave at a faster rate & the country will sink further into an economic morass as the country becomes less viable .

It is crass stupidity to go down this path ! No one religion should dominate over another or even want to !  Religion shouldn't even be a factor in government ....here in our government it isn't even known what a person's religious beliefs are ...it  has no bearing on ones capacity to do the job & Church & State are kept totally separate.

It's about time Lebanese people decided just what type of a country you want....

  14. people might try but it would never ever work. the only solution for a country like lebanon is secularism, which is becoming more popular among the newer generations.

  15. You really are worried about the Muslims aren't you?

    Maybe it will.

  16. There are about equal numbers of Christians and Muslims that sit in the gov. what a wonderful thing when a country can share no matter what they believe. Cheers!

  17. i KNOW it will be an islamic country and that might be soon.. even though i don't want it to at all!!! cuz lebanon will be h**l if it was an islamic country... the beauty of lebanon is in the diversity, that's what makes it everything it is..

it's a fact that most of the young christians are the ones that right after graduating are heading overseas to where they can have a better life, and the most educated christians that end up settling and getting married are not having a big family because they know how to calculate and they know they can't raise and educated a big number of kids.. while the muslims keep having babies and growing more without thinking about the future of those kids or the future of their families (well , a big number of them!).. so it's most likely that lebanon will be an islamic country and if it will be, not a single christian would stay in lebanon because i don't think christians could live in a country like that, cuz alot of changes will be made once lebanon is all islamic.....
