  1. No, I think "fair" is irrelevant unless a person or otherwise intentioned (thinking) being is causing the situation.  The world as a whole is not intentioned: individuals are, but tragedies like illness, natural disaster, and death are not intentioned unless you believe in God (which I don't).

  2. You should go there and see the reality for yourself. You would probably be shocked to discover that death is merely a fact of life to them and that they are some of the most cheerful, most kind and most friendly people on the planet.

  3. some times i do. but i try my best to overcome it by thinking of my blessings instead..

  4. Life is unfair, period.

  5. No I don't. I think once you've been given the necessities of life- the rest is up to you.

  6. Life is unfair to everyone regardless... though, yes, some tend to have it worse. So what are we going to do to help these children in Africa??... because answering questions on Y!A sure isn't doing them any good.

(You sure like to ask questions.)

  7. I am so glad that you added that extra bit to explain your question.

Although, I feel like there were / are things that could be different, I have to be honest and say that my life has not been unfair.   Many of the negatives that I have experienced evolved and turned into positives.  Plus, I am an intelligent, attractive, talented woman.  I am healthy, I have all my limbs, and fully functioning body and internal organs.  Also, I am mentally and emotionally sound.   I still do have a family, a crazy one, but at least they are still here in my life.

And last of all, by throwing out all the negatives that some would see as unfair, I reached a level of highs that has influenced me to dig deep into my soul and discover the woman I am. And I see a very happy woman, who is living for today, and who is thankful, and appreciative for all of the wonderful people and gifts in my life.

  8. No, I don't feel that life is unfair to me.

I'm wondering what you're doing, though, to make the world a better place.  I wonder how many attempts you, personally, have made to feed the hungry.  I've noticed that some folks just like to shame others...  It makes them feel "better than."

  9. I like your question.  Some people like to mire themselves in self-pity.  They moan because they can't buy the car they wanted.  They moan because they don't like their parents' or school's rules.  They will moan and grown their way through life always believing "life has been unfair to THEM."

They are stuck in a rut thinking only selfishly about themselves.

Don't you just hate people who are always wallowing in self- pity?

  10. More than fair, I am unfair to life.

Of all the times throughout history, of any geographical point on the globe, surely we have the best of the best, I feel humbled & undeserving.

  11. It is easy to feel that life being unfair to me. But I must say no. By trying to look beyond this life, by trying to see what is God intention when He decided to place me in this life.

I must say that at the end, all of us have the same chance to draw goodness out of our life, despite the different situation we must face.

And yes, God is good through out my life.

  12. Maybe not , maybe life is for justice to everyone. Some will lived longer than others , that's , could also be a justice for them in their lives. Maybe life is about knowing.

  13. No, life isn't unfair to me, any negative can become a positive if you take something good from it.

A victim mentality will create a victim out of nothing.

  14. well im 16 so i havnt really lived life to it's fullest, or climbed mt everest or invented a cure for cancer but looking back on everything thats happened in the world that has affected MY life.....i'd say that no, life is not unfair to me. i'm a happy kid, all my requirements are met and i am privilaged to be living this blessed life that so many kids can never have. education, freedom of speech, openess about your sexuality, not all countries offer these things that we all take for granted.

this may be controversial, but i bet that 5 out of every 10 people who posted a comment to answer this question, has seen a homeless person and just walked on without paying the slightest bit of attention. that just shows our lack of compassion and love in the human race as a whole. but even homeless people have clothes, starving kids in china and africa dont even have clothes or shelter. at least homeless people have bus shelters

  15. what is fair in this life ?

    love

  16. There is no such thing as fair and unfair in life.

Life is like a lottery where you have many choices of combinations of numbers. However, there is only a few winners in each draw. Most people are losers in the lottery and so are they in life.

There are choices to made but there also chances to take.

  17. I used to when I was much much younger of course but when something gets me down now I just thing about how theres always someone doing worst then me and i stop being selfish and get on with my life.

  18. Should man deign to voice complaint of his struggle to survive and inability to die or find peace, comfort and happiness God* directs mans attention to the destitute in foreign lands hungered for bread. This weak argument has rarely worked to perform the humbling and weakening of my morale.

To the right hungered souls without water or bread, hope or faith, to the right obese souls fattened upon greed and rancour, pampered and indulged and still so woefully unhappy in the elands of plenty. Man is miserable in both circumstances.

  19. Put this question to God who has been so careless to get himself kidnapped by the institute of religion making him inactive. The poor people are paying ransom money for his release.

  20. I believe life is unfair to everyone; it's a degree of unfairness that I see. It is by chance that I was conceived and born to be an American. I had no control over who I was born to and the situation I was born in, just like those children in Africa.

I recently saw a documentary "Darwin's Nightmare" and it was disheartening to see the struggles of children that live in situations like you have described. It was disturbing to see a group of over ten children who had no parents, were living on the streets fending for themselves, many of which had wounds that was never seen by a Doctor and when they happened to catch a small fish, they all started to fight one another just for a mouthful of food for survival. Yet, look at my life. I am by no means wealthy, but I would consider myself to be lucky to have the luxuries in life that I do have. I am sitting on this laptop, which some of those children probably have never even seen a laptop. I am able to get up and walk to my kitchen and I have an assortment of food that I can choose to eat if the desire arises. I have clean clothes, a roof over my head, clean facilities available to me at all times, a phone call away from a Doctor's visit, higher education and regular wages that are deposited into my checking account each month. It is unfair that I have these luxuries and those innocent children have to struggle just for basic nutrition.

It is unfair that those children have to struggle so much and though I struggle in life as well, I cannot even begin to understand the daily struggles they go through just to survive. I, on the hand, do not struggle to survive, but struggle to excel and that is unfair in itself.

  21. No!

It is my Karma, due which I suffer in my life,

I like to bear the pain with happiness,

because it is my own creation.

  22. Life is exactly as it should be. If it were any different then it wouldn't be called life. You cannot blame existence and nature for just being what it is.

What I would say is that people are unfair; people have moral responsibility to make our lives fair.
