  1. no

  2. i think there delishes

  3. Well the way America stuffs chemicals in everything they eat is unhealthy.

Even the fruit in the produce section isn't healthy, so meat is out of the question.

Though if you do happen to land on some, It's pretty okay without the chemicals.

I mean how else will you get your protein?

You can't have Protein shakes your whole life.

  4. ithink meat is it is gross and rottens your colon...so i dont eat it

  5. YES.

The American Dietetic Association has said that "appropriately planned vegetarian diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases." However, poorly planned vegan diets can be deficient in nutrients such as vitamin B12, vitamin D, calcium, iodine and omega-3 fatty acids. These deficiencies have potentially serious consequences, including anemia, rickets and cretinism in children, and osteomalacia and hypothyroidism in adults.

  6. no not at all.

  7. I think in large quantities ANYTHING is unhealthy.  I don't think the products you listed are unhealthy when consumed in moderation.

  8. diary products are unhealthy except rice milk, almond milk, goat milk

  9. It depends... it always depends.

How are they raised? How much are you eating? Blah blah blah. How are you eating them?

They're made to be compatible with our bodies, I suppose, but the things that people put in the foods are not.

I suppose this question is like asking if salt is bad for you. You need salt because it contains alot of what keeps you going, it helps a good deal of your body, but hey, too much and you're due for some high blood pressure. The only difference is that you don't really have a natural substitute for salt. (Beans instead of meat, ya know?)

I don't wanna research much, so here's from wiki to show what I mean about salt.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt

Chloride and sodium ions, the two major components of salt, are necessary for the survival of all known living creatures, including humans. Salt is involved in regulating the water content (fluid balance) of the body. Salt cravings may be caused by trace mineral deficiencies as well as by a deficiency of sodium chloride itself. Conversely, overconsumption of salt increases the risk of health problems, including high blood pressure.

Edit: Ok, I don't know why I rambled about salt. Anyways, do you get what I mean? The food is here for a reason and obviously we aren't dropping dead from eating it- in most cases anyways.

Sure, they can be bad for you, but so can anything else that becomes tainted by steroides and preservatives.

*Glares at hard core vegetarians* Even fruits and vegitables can be bad for you in this time and era.

  10. I dont think so

  11. I think meat and dairy are definitely unhealthy, and not ethical either. Eggs are healthy but they are definitely not ethical and it's so easy to get those same nutrients from other ethical sources.

  12. yes. that's why I'm a vegetarian.

  13. I dont have much research on eggs and dairy other  than that I think they are unethical.

But meat causes so many problems - stroke, heart attack...

There are safer ways to get the same nutrients that are in meat. Although most meat eaters say there isn't.

  14. 'unhealthy' is such a relative term. it all depends on what kinds of meat dairy and egs you are eating. i do belive that fruit and vegetables are simply a better and more efficent source of nutrients. look at it this way, if Bob could only eat meat dair and eggs for the rest of his life and tom could only eat fruits and vegetables. i think it would be easy to say tom will live an above average healthy life. while bob would probably have many health problems

    EVERYTHING IN MODERATION

    TO Lovey:

just because humanity has been doing something for a long time doesnt make it right or 'good' for you. people have been killing eachother since the world has existed, and im pretty sure we have deemed that 'wrong.'

    TO sarah c:

there is NO dairy in rice milk, almond milk or soy milk.

    ps. im a 'raw foodist'

  15. Well the scientific literature supports it, and all of my heart patients have a history of consuming animal protein, so yes I think animal foods are unhealthy.

  16. Not at all if consumed in moderation.

  17. Unhealthy? No. Unnecessary? Absolutely.

  18. I've been eating lots of meat, dairy, and egg products for 75 years, and I'm very healthy.

For dinner tonight I had a spinach and mushroom salad, grilled pork chops, baked yams, and a nice cabernet sauvignon, followed by brownies and coffee for dessert. Nice!

  19. No, it's not unhealthy, it's part of a balanced diet. Meat, dairy and eggs are all high quality protein sources, just trim off all visible fat and remove skin from chicken. I eat high protein, moderate carbs and low fat diet. I'm also an athlete. I aslo eat an insane amout of vegetables and I only eat complex carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread, yams etc etc.

  20. not ethical at alllllllll, not healthy either

  21. That's why there's organic stuff!!!

  22. Mostly meat and dairy since they have been proven to be exceptionally unhealthy and causing a lot of health problems and diseases. Eggs can cause health problems such as salmonella, and is high in cholesterol and fat, but generally are not as bad as meat and dairy.

On top of the fact animal proteins are generally considered to be bad because they contain too much high bad protein, which is then stored in the body as a toxin.) The body's attempt to rid itself of the excess protein congests the liver and overworks the kidneys which have to expel the excess nitrogen through urine. Animal proteins contain inorganic acids which are toxic to humans. They contain too much fat and cholesterol. They contain a lot of artificial hormones, steroids, and other chemicals injected or fed to the animal to make them grow faster and bigger. While plant proteins clearly does not do this and cuts cholesterol and aids kidneys in diabetics.

  23. eating TOOO much is unhealthy. but they have calcium and other things that u need

  24. just about anything in excess can be unhealthy

  25. im a vegatarian, but they are not unhealthy. meat has protein, which you need to have strong bones. I use other sources, nonmeat to get protein. Eggs provide protein also, but i cannot say that they are bad. Too much of them is fattening, but too much of anything is bad.
