Yes, if they have enough support.  The kids need something to keep them occupied, something that will help get rid of aggression, something that will give them a sense of achievement. And soccer can do that, with help and support of well trained people.

I watched a doccie on TV last night where a couple of boys had mixed tap dancing and pantsula dance to get off the streets and stop being criminals. What amazed me was that most had no 90% had no fathers and were raised by their mothers in rather bad conditions. They spoke about prison quite candidly and it was clear most never wanted to return as there is gangs in prisons and anyone can die during someone's inititaion test or be sodomized by s*x crazed inmates. The arts and culture sector was taking forever to help them out though and most lost hope and slowly began doing crime again, some still held fast. Its great to do something to avoid getting into crime, but with a government that seems so short on aiding people and will make huge promises because the media is there and one needs to be seen as a saviour on TV, but nothing ever occurs to back their promises. How do they expect these youths trying to rehabilitate themselves to ever stop being criminals when they indirectly show them they dont give a S***e about their efforts?

YES it will. One of the biggest problems we have is the fact that everybody with out a job is doing nothing. If you can keep these people busy they might stop their bad habits. The fact that they are getting kids back to school is also a great thing.

We as a country and individuals should get people to understand that without a education you wont get far. My dad is busy starting a fund for the people that works for his company and for every Rand they put in he does as well, this will then be used as a collage fund for when these kids finish school.
