not really..seems like they are too contrived, people like stuff that you make up off the top of your head in a seconds notice not something you are saving up to say..If its preplanned it seems like people just would give you a kind of a desperation laugh.

I like the latter...BUT  I'm a stickler for grammar... and it should be "on the grounds THAT"  i think anyway. that sounds right to me.  obviously punctuation and capitalization mean nothing to me.
