Has anyone noticed more activity or less during the 4 season cycle? If so, what season is more active for you?

  1. That's an interesting question! I had never thought about how that may affect paranormal activity. Most paranormal activity is reported in the evening hours. So I would imagine in the winter months when the nights grow longer that you would probably see the greatest amount of activity reported. Just a thought.

  2. Just before winter.

    Asian legends.

  3. I have read numerous ghost stories and none of them say they happened in the winter... perhaps there are less ghost sightings in winter because they can't "crossover" (for some reason)

  4. Some people belive that ghosts require vibrational frequencies to manifest.    If this is true, which season would have air more conducive to ghostly frequencies?  Would denser or thinner air be better?  I'm not sure.

  5. Winter means more darkness and rainy/snowy cold weather, and this is known to lead to more depression for some people. If there is a connection between depression and the tendency to perceive ghosts, there could be a seasonal correlation as well.

  6. well they might, I don't know about the winter blues though.

  7. Halloween, festival of the dead, with All Souls Day stems from the superstition that the veil between dimensions of the living and the dead is thinner during winter.  This originated during the agriculture age when societies where ordered along the seasons.

The industrial age rapidly changed that, but the superstitions remain.

Up till fairly recently it was not uncommon for more deaths to occur during winter. With modern medicine and creature comforts that is no longer the case.

  8. In the same way that the moon's gravity affects the tidal forces here on earth, there could be some connection to the activity of spirits. Since the moon and it's phases are known throughout the seasons we could probably find some data to suggest that some seasons are better than others for activity.

If there has been research of this kind (check with the skeptic web sites) then the data would almost be sure to say there is no connection at all.

Some theories include the geomagnetic forces as an indicator to spirit activity.

  9. The only time I have ever seen any sort of ghost is in the warm seasons. I hadn't thought about why. I am not psychic by a long shot though, so it may be coincidence.

This is a very interesting question though!!!! it immediately got my "spidey senses " tingling. LOL!!! Thanks! I just love the paranormal and this gives me a new angle to study :)

  10. A lot of people will say fall or winter, some say spring.

I think once fall or winter sets in, people are inside more often, windows are closed & there is less noise coming in from the outside. Taken all that into consideration, you become more aware of your surroundings, and your senses may be on a higher level.

I have activity all year long, so, I believe it isn't just the seasons. Also I believe, that warmer weather brings out people to do an investigation. That might highten their senses a bit.

  11. Ive never really given the seasons much thought...Though i have read a simular question once...and i cannt remember what peoples thoughts were on it.....

Mercu...I think when it comes to beyond this existence i think none of us really know enough about any of it...I remember one of your comments in one of my questions....we are all guessing here at some ideas, i dont think anyone can really be an expert on this topic.....

Yes i know its you sentient beings/mercu...and yes i do think alot, i think we all do...Its one thing we all have in common.."Thinking"....i couldnt imagine life without a thought, could you...and im not being nasty here, just honest.....I just thought you were having a bit of a go, to ghost seeker for asking this question....nigglie little comment

For me it seems to happen anytime of the year..and alot when someone close to me dies.....

  12. empirical studies on paranormal activities are inconclusive. depends on  what you like to believe. u can gather evidence in favour of higher paranormal activity during a particular season, or vice versa. if you like it, why dont you try the monsoons, particularly in Kerala? it is dark, droopy, dripping, and you can imagine all sorts of shadows and substances lurking out there, just by your window

  13. I have been researching the paranormal for 22 years and in my personal research there was no one particular season where it reflected more activity than another. What I have found is how another person passes on to the"next life". A good majority of people become ghosts  due to the nature of how they die, because it so they do not realize they are dead-to them they are "living" and "going about their normal routine" up until the time of their passing. Please keep in mind this not the case for all that die suddenly.

  14. Maybe it is depending on the season the ghost or person dies on

If say Lily Dies in the winter she might come back to haunt winter I noticed alot of paranormal activity during the summer I don't know why... but much more

  15. I can think of half a dozen pro and cons to that idea.

On one side, in winter stormy weather might create more  electric energy in the air along with cold weather causes more static because of dry air.  We tend to slow down a little and spend more time inside where we might see more paranormal stuff.  Plus there are the holidays when more ghost active is always reported.

On the other side, in the summer you might be out side where your more likely to see a UFO or a Bigfoot or a sea monster.  Also you spend more time up late and some say that more stuff happens after midnight. You are more likely to go on holiday to a place that is haunted like old towns or battlefields.

The only thing I have found is that Christmas and New years  seem to bring out the ghosts more. I like to call it the Jacob Marley syndrome,  I wonder if Charles Dickens new about this, I guess we will never know!

I wonder if some one is tracking it to see!
