The men are definately spoiled. They get what they want when they want. Their mothers dote on them, which teaches them they dont have to have responsibility for anything. They grow up and are irresponsible, and they hardly do any real work-that's what the foreigners are for.

So in that sense, they are spoiled rotten. The only thing keeping me from beating some of my BILs down is the no-touch rule. And since the haf of society that IS used to hard work (i.e. the women) are totally rendered helpless and fully dependant on people who have too much c**p to do -not to mention too much fun to have-to give a d**n.

....you may say they are spoiled before when every saudi families  receive a monthly allowance from the government, but now it was cut already so Saudis would learn to work and earn money from his sweat and sacrifices.....

No, Saudi Arabia is not spoiled.

The average Saudi Graduate salary is 4000 to 6000 riyals a month which is not enough for most to even own a home. The minority of Saudi population is extremely wealthy, but the majority are not.

average income is very low in saudi comparison with the rest of gulf countries ..there are alot of an unemployed...& have university degrees...unfortunately this is country oil...

no, it is very wrong stereotyping

only very few percentages are the extreme wealthy and who like to show off their wealth outside

then there is a good portion that is totally okay .. they can travel every year or every second year .. yet, they have to budget for it every time

then, the rest split them into two halfs

half is living just just just okay, with very limited income

and the other half just cannot make it .. you can consider them into poverty line .. many of them got problems in paying for electricity bill, water or the rent of house

I'm Egyptian and i come to saudi arabia to spend the vacation with dada which isn't cool cuz i know no one here, the ladies are really lucky, there's Shopping centers everywhere, they have drivers and stuff, the men too i guess are really happy cuz i see there's some fitness clubs around, there's Net Cafes.

But that's the rich ppl, i see really poor ppl around here who actually beg for money, i didnt expect that here, but hey every country has a down side.

Anyway, The Country, i think that's what u mean, is spoiled cuz they have everything there avalible for them from really great labels to food and stuff like that, i actually enjoy shopping here ^-^

I visited almost every city in KSA and I think, Jeddah, El-Riyad, El-Khobar, El-Damam are really Cool, I like Tabuk btw and Khamis meshet :-D

Ps: I'm in El-Khobar, i see alot of other ppl from dubai, bahrain and Qatar coming to this city, which means its good right??

Anyway, is there any Hairdressers there?

and is there like a club i can go to take a swim or something :-D

Couldn't say; the Al-Saud has so much money, all the trees on the planet would not make enough paper to make bank notes for it all, and while most of the population is not rich, their living standard IS considerably higher, for example, than the Hebrew descended Muslims, the Jews who converted from Judaism, to Islam, having long abandoned their Jewish heritage.  Their living standard certainly IS better, than the majority of Indonesian and Indian foreign workers, not to mention all the "hajj trash."

I would say the royal family is spoiled rotten (to the damned core), while the rest of the population is spoiled, but also actively lives in fear of its own government.  Just hope the censors don't bang down your door just for reading what I typed here.

if you look at the prime vacation spots in Europe and all the prime shopping department stores in N.York and Europe.. the majority of wealthy people are the hollywood jet set and western wealthy.. There are Saudi's that jetset around, but few.. its the same few bunch.. low in number compared to the spoiled rich western hollywooders...

edit: Carl since when did Saudi's recieve a monthly allowance from the government.. None of my 30years they did and my father in all his 60 some odd years didnt either.. I cant remember anyone in our family claiming this.. Now they do in Kuwait, but never here.. (Unless you are of royal blood)
