Do you think that short girls could not play beach volley?

i have the average height but taller girls make fun of me because I want to play beachvolley,is it bad to be short?what I can reply when they make fun of me?

i'm a tall person, but i know that being short doesn't matter. you can play beach volley. i mean why not? my volleyball coach told my bff sarah this::: "If your short, your closer to the ground, so you can dive for the ball faster than the tall girls." Everyone has a good point that will help them in volleyball. ♥

Size doesn't matter in the back row.  In the front row, taller is better, but if one has taller teammates on each side, a short person can do just fine.

i am 5'2 a front row player a setter i may add and cant really jump. they make fun of me yes.. but thats when you come back with "im not short im fun sized". and YESSSS you can.. dont let anyone tell you that you cant. there just jellin cause your better then em :)

yes short girls can play beach. i play both indoor and beach and i'm only 5'0. ignore those girls who are making fun of you. it's not worth stooping to their level.

your size doesn't matter as long as you have the skills. :]

Here's the one point all these other people missed when telling you height doesn't matter playing beach.

If you are playing doubles...then someone short can cause problems for the team. Guess what? If I am on the other team I am serving you the entire match. Why? You are going to have a harder time hitting past my blocker and your angles will be cut down as well if you can't elevate above the net. You also better pass well and your partner better be a good setter because that is all they are going to do during the match! They don't want to do that. So yeah...they may not want you playing....

If it is 4's or 6's it should matter that much as there are more options than just you and your partner in doubles.

Trust me...I am 6' 4" and my partner was 5' 11"...guess who didn't get to hit that often, ME? The other teams would only serve him and I had to set the second hit unless we had a free ball or an opponent hitting error and I got the first ball.

height doesnt matter in volleyball.

yah, theirs tall people , but also shorter people too.

that's what makes a team.

So what if your a little shorter than the other girls.

Dont be disipointed. Take advantage of it!!!!

Just ignore those girls, and show them whos boss!!

plus lots of shorter people can play  the ball from a spike, while taller people cant do it as well.!!!

size doesnt really matter. im only 5 ft tall but i play volleyball. im the shortest 1 on my team but i play better than most of them. im always having to work harder to make up for my height but its still fun.
