Do you think that since more information, on the topic of Global Warming is....?

Question

urging people to take action to control Global Warming?? Has there been any significant progress? Are people really listening to the warnings, or has it become the the point where we are overwhelmed and time is running out??

Is there any way at this point, to get a firmer hold on the problems the planet encounters of being diminished from the effects of global warming??

I think and hope people have wisened up to this hoax.  It's nothing more than a hope for redistribution of wealth to poorer nations whose leaders would squander the money on bigger mansions and more oppressive rule with large armies with better equipment.   Another word for Global Warming is Taxation.  What ever happened to, "No taxation without representation?"  Pay more, pay more.  Need to live, pay more.  But a few people are going to make a killing on this if it doesn't stop.

But in ten years, the global warming hype will go away and a new scare will be cooked up.  

Wonder what movie footage Al gore will rip off and put into another movie of his, next time.

There is significant progress on the issue in many developed countries especially in Europe. Even the developing countries acknowledge the problem and some (for example China) have committed to greater levels of investment to combat it than the US. We have not yet been overwhelmed and we must maintain steady progress in making improvements in the time that we have available. The alternative is to sit and wait in despair and that would serve no useful purpose.

It is almost uniquely an American issue that there is such a vocal and politically motivated minority opposing the scientific findings and evidence. It certainly isn't the case in Europe that "it is prompting more people to reject the calls to "take action" on a problem that simply doesn't exist." In fact quite the opposite and the deniers are simply viewed as the selfish minority who would be as unwilling to help a dieing neighbour as they are to change their lifestyles to make a difference to Climate Change.

A few select keep pushing AGW further, despite the lack of evidence. There was very little evidence to begin with--mostly theory. Anybody have any evidence whatsoever that points the finger at man? Anything beyond theory and circumstantial evidence?

The truth is that the whole theory of man-made global warming is bunk.  The proponents of the theory support it with faulty and sometimes fraudulent computer models and a lack of understanding about atmospheric dynamics.  Now that there's increased awareness of this issue it is prompting more people to reject the calls to "take action" on a problem that simply doesn't exist.

Global warming is a natural phase of Earth, caused by some Solar Activities by Sun. We human don't have to bother about it. Some of the environmentalist says that this is because of the CO2 we are emitting into the environment, but the reality is that we are just contributing towards 1% to 10% of actual global warming.

If the actual cause of Global Warming is CO2 emitted by the humans then why Global Warming occures on other planets. Just Google for "Global Warming on other planets" and see the results, there are no humans on other planets.

Having too little CO2 in the environment will cause for the plants to die more early, more over it also cools down the temperature on earth.

Having too much CO2 (obiviously, not caused by humans. Mostly generated in the Sea/Oceans) will lead to Green House effect and will lead in increasing the temperature on Earth.

So, the best is to plant more trees so that there would be a balance for the consumption of CO2 on the planet.

I personally think that instead of thinking on this baseless issue try to think on what if Nuclear War broke out in the world, it will destroy Earth more rapidly.

So, next time whenever somebody says you about global warming, just ignore it.

I'd say good progress everywhere except America.  They've been feeding the people a propaganda line that a few people bought hook line and sinker.  Not a majority, not even a significant minority, just some road apples on the road of progress.  Bush has had the Federal government unavailable to the people for 8 years now.  The States are starting to take things into their own hands, following California's lead since Washington provides none.  That's a breath of fresh air for the country, compared to the stench of the Fascists.
