  1. im sick of hearing about cousins he chose what he wanted 2 do in life playing footy and 2 take drugs now he wants every 1 to feel sorry 4 him

  2. Now the West Coast Eagles will be the cleanest team to take the field this year?

They have already been drug tested for the nab cup.

  3. I havent seen any positives to come out of the Cousins Incident to be honest.

WCE's havent shown they are prepared to do everything they can to stop the stupidity/drugs/scandals.

    Time will tell....

  4. Yes I do, hopefully the clubs wake up and realise that it's not like in the old days, these here are modern times and if they want to progress then they have to move with the times, and those times are moving toward responsibility for actions done.

  5. Sorry, we all actually have these, ....COUSINS , but the one you refer to is DUMB.     He has just simply failed, and.. Doesn't Understand (the) Main Basics..... of life,.... and how he could have been, a  true footy celebrity.

He has been involved in the footy culture all his life, with his dad an ex Geelong player, but  most likely, has never EVER worked a 9 to 5 job, in his life .     Yes Its Sad, ...but he's been Spoilt,  and now  should be FORGOTTEN!....his football career is PAST

  6. Yeah I kinda do.

    I know what you mean

Like everyone says that he is a bad role model for children who look up to him, but he can do them some good. Like, everyone has watched him sort of fall apart, be critised by the whole country, go through h**l, all because he took some drugs. So he has actually taught kids a lot of lessons. It annoys me though...my mum has given me all those stupidd drug talks...because she knows so much aout Cousins and why he did it. pffft.

But anyway in school last year when we did some thing on drugs, there was always class discussions about Cousins and everyone was saying how stupidd he had been and it was a good way for teachers and stuff to show what drugs can do. After people have seen what has happened to him, well they can learn a lesson. So despite all the harm he has done to HIMSELF, he has actually helped the community...although he could have done it in a better way. =] is that what you mean??

  7. In a kinda sorta way, I guess that society are  more aware of the  drug scene in footy since the Cousins addiction thing.

Ben will only be a good role model if he rehabilitates and stays  in the public eye in a professional way,  certainly not by  hanging around pubs, boxing joints, or with members of the underworld.

Certainly, society or Ben can't benefit by seeing him spread all over the tabloids and media for months on end looking as though he has been hung out to dry.

On the surface his behavior wasn't seen as violent or rude, however he was taking a prohibited substance that not only kills the addict in time, but stuffs up the economy of the country.

  8. Look if the AFL and West Coast came out in some real way to raise the awareness of drugs and depression (re: the Mainwaring thing), I'd say something good has come of it.

Perhaps they could get behind (really behind - with real money and real effort) combatting some of these issues in the general community.  THEN, and only then would some good come of it.  But no, all I see is apology, blame and shame.  I see some hiding and some gloating.

No one seems prepared to really confront the underlying issues.
