  1. Yeah - in fact a person like that would probably meet new people and become more confident and less shy.

  2. Absolutely! Shyness has nothing to do with intelligence or hard work.

Unless, of course, you meant socially successful. In that case just remember, when you go to university you can be whoever you want to be. That's the beauty of going to a new place. Nobody there knows you aren't confident. They only know it if you show them.

  3. Let me put it this way: By the time you finish university, you won't be shy or lack confidence. Hop to it!

  4. Why not? Every university is a big place, with a vibrant and diverse student population - a mix of ages, cultures and personalities (including shy and not too confident ones).

  5. Ask him to write daytoday activities for a week and read it. Do meditation for 30 minutes chanting 'OM MURUGA'  for 1008 times and you friend will get solution within a fortnight

  6. Hello,

(ANS) Just because someone is a little on the shy side or doesn't feel that self confident doesn't mean they cannot or will not be successful ultimately in what they choose too do.

**We ALL have to start somewhere in life.

**No! two people start from the same starting points in life.

**Experience & life experience is the best way to gain confidence.

**What matters most is a persons potential and also the potential for that person to change as they move forwards or progress.

**The one thing we can all be certain of is "change" life changes even if we don't like it, or even if we find change hard to face or embrace. Change is part of the human condition there is no escape from this fact.

    Ivan.

  7. Grab some coffe and this person will never shut up :)

  8. yeah i dont see why they wouldn't be successful

  9. well they got to get in too uni so they cant be thick.

When it comes too fitting in with other people best thing to do is not try, just go with a decent flow.

But dont go wanting when your found wanting people can use you,

  10. They can be successful, but going into a university will help you/ prepare you to open up more.... it will be more like a reality check. It's a good experience for someone who wants to be independent.

  11. I was incredibly shy when I started University - now I've learned not to care and yeah, I guess I'm well on the way to being successful

  12. Of course I used to work at a university and we had many students who were shy and not very confident but they soon came out of their shell after a few months of university life

  13. depends in what area your shy and not confident in... you definatly have to be confident in your studies, but with people you can bulid it up

  14. Hi Yes i think that you could be successful, at uni, get out there, join in and have a good time.  I was painfully shy, when i was younger and sometimes now i can be shy, but because i got out there in the big wide world i learned to become less shy, and very confident.  Good Luck at Uni.

  15. Of course!  Why on earth wouldn't they?  Last thing I heard you didn't get marked on your outgoingness!

    :D

  16. That's my case...

I have good grades in some Academics like Math, Science, English and Social Studies...

But sometimes, when it comes to extra curricular I got it low 'coz I was so shy and I feel not to do it even the other subjects are all affected...

I don't have confidence and I think it is one of the most important thing for a student to have good performance...

I've researched a lot of things about it and some say that just to focus on what you are doing...

There are also some say that think also of your health condition and they recommend that to do regular exercise to prevent to get in tense...

And there are also some say that while time passes your confidence increases...

I've done doing some but still nothing happened...
