  1. No. Bill Gates is one of the richest men in the world. Even if the economy drags to the bottom, there is no way the REALLY rich people will ever be like that. Think of the Great Depression: Ford was still super rich.

  2. Bill Gates was in the process of purchasing Yahoo, unfortunately the share price has dropped significantly and battle prevails.

Should we heed the warning signs, JL ... ?

  3. Wealth is relative within an economic system...within a country.  So, no.  (If you are referring to the upcoming economic crisis.)

  4. That would be possible if nobody use Windows Operating System anymore. But as long as people buy PC with Windows, you will never see that happen.

The economy goes up and down. It is a 10 years cycle.

    It will recover.

  5. h**l no, the super rich don't go broke when things like this happen to an economy. If anything they come out of it richer. Buy heaps of things up cheap and then when the economy is back to normal, sell it for the highest price.

  6. i think it would be hard for him to get to that point even if he tried his hardest to get there before he died.

he has so much money, lots of it in stock form, which he can't sell all at once, so he can't even give all his money away to charity if he wanted to. and if he did he would get a bunch of money back on his tax return.

  7. Sure, I bet old Bill is down to his last 50 billion.
