Do you think that speaking with Neutral Accent is important for good communication ?

I don't think it is important to good communication but it is more appealing to the masses. As a southerner myself I know if I go to even another southern state and listen to the news,Their accent distracts me as I'm listening to it rather than WHAT they are saying.Same goes for someone with a heavy northern accent.

I think that the most important thing is that you should be yourself - don't try to affect an accent - you'll only end up sounding silly and may be difficult to understand.
