State Senate President Lyda Green said she thought it was a joke when someone called her at 6 a.m. to give her the news.

"She's not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president?" said Green, a Republican from Palin's hometown of Wasilla. "Look at what she's done to this state. What would she do to the nation?"

  1. I think the Republican Party has simply lost its collective mind. I feel like the news has become a comic book.

  2. LOL ... a woman talking about another woman .. how credible is that!

  3. Makes you wonder, if McCain can't do better in his choice of running mate, does he have what it takes to be the leader of the worlds most powerful country.?????

  4. Whatever Palin did to the state of Alaska earned her an approval rating of 80%.

Two of Obama's key supporters said that McCain would be a better choice for President than Obama.  You might have heard of them, as they both spoke during prime time at the Democratic National Convention.  They are Senators Hillary R. Clinton and Joseph R. Biden.  I would say that Biden must know Obama pretty well.  He's Obama's running mate.

If McCain's running mate said that Obama was better qualified for the Presidency than McCain is, I would be worried.

  5. It would seem to me that when picking a running mate, you would try to get someone who is "squeaky clean". Not someone who people can find negative things about within hours of the announcement.

I will admit that everyone has something to hide, and when running for any office, those things will be revealed, but you don't pick someone with all the baggage she has from the get go. I guess we will have to see what else comes out during the campaign.

While she brags about stopping the bridge to no where, I will tell you that while she was running for Governor, she was quoted on October 22,2006, as saying she would continue state funding for the bridge because she wanted swift action on infrastructure projects.

I believe that the ploy to get Clinton voters was a badly disguised move, and although I am not a McCain supporter, I do know that several female McCain supporters are angered because they feel he has underestimated the intelligence of the female vote.

  6. Sad but true, my Republican Political Party is imploding.

  7. Well I used to live in Anchorage, a city of 250,000 and the largest city in Alaska!  Wasilla is one of the closest towns to Anchorage...At the time I think maybe it had maybe 3000, in the early 90's.  Even though it has doubled in size since then, it is still real small potatoes!  Alaska only has about 500,000 people in the whole state.  Probably about 100 to 150,000 of the older residence are only there from May to October!  Running Alaska is like being a mid-sized city mayor, who has a lot of far fetched villiages.  You tell me?

  8. It sounds like she knows her quite well. She's not fit to lead our country. Perhaps she should stick to her town of 7,000.

truth seeker is correct. This speaks volumns about McCain's judgement.

  9.   Could it be, this is one of the politicians that got away, and blames Palin for the corrupt ills of Alaska.  Without knowing the relationship between the two, and it appears adversarial, I will withhold judgement on Green's comments until we know more about her.

On the surface, it appears as though a few of Green's cronnies may have gotten caught up in the corruption fall out that Palin spearheaded.  If that is the case, it comes as no surprise that Green would have nothing nice to say about Palin.

  10. Considering the alternative is a guy who hangs out with anti-white, anti-Americans, who thinks it's okay to bomb our institutions and hurt people; who thinks it's okay to curse this country and slam the white community; those who think it's okay to restrict our right to bear arms; those who think it's okay to take hard-earned money in the form of tax dollars to fund their personal agenda, and who the dictators / terrorists of the world support  - - Yes, I would take Palin anyday over Obama.

  11. If you bothered to continue to read the article, you might have seen that they weren't exactly best of friends:

"Green, who has feuded with Palin repeatedly over the past two years..."

Is there any indication this person knows her well at all? God knows there are a number of people from my hometown who I disagree with philosophically and that I wouldn't want people assuming had any inside track to "knowing me best."

Is this just some hyperbolic assumption made for no real reason other than to fan the flames of pointless, non-existent controversy?

  12. No, her parents or husband know her best.

And what a total shock that not every person she has ever come across in her life admires her. What a shock. I'm going to have to cast a vote for Slick Barry and Communism!
