Alicia Sacramone was equal to if not better than those gymnists who finished ahead of her. The judges seem to hate America.

  1. I don't think they hate america but i did realize that when the girls from china messed up they still got a high score like 15.100 or 16.200 or something. But when the American girls did really great they didn't even get a 16.0.

  2. I think everyone is getting screwed except china. Watch that movie stick it lol

  3. I'm becoming disillusioned in sports that require judging.  I get an impression that the skill level, dedication and years of practice of today's athletes results in a higher level of performance that the equivalent skill level of the judges that watch the performance.

Human bias will unfortunately be a part of such a subjective scoring process.  The error of the judges can exceed the errors of the gymnast.

It's disappointing to see any athlete no matter what country get a score that is not fair.

  4. i agree with the first part. idk about he second.. they might dislike america but not to go as far as hate..but i feel like there's some kind of deal behind the whole thing.. because alot of countries esp american(possibly becuase they are the biggest fear) are getting ripped off with the points.. everyone notices it and its extremely unfair esp becasue they are dealing with medals at this point.. they are being extremely bias to china i feel. surprised nobodies saying anything..

  5. No. Sacramone's performance was great and I wish she won bronze but she was a victim of the code again.

  6. No, you need to learn how the scoring system works.

The Chinese girl had much higher start values (both 6.5), so even with a mistake as big as a fall, she could still place ahead of Alicia who had lower start values (6.3 and 5.8).

Cheng Fei had execution scores of 8.5.. so she was deducted plenty for her fall (0.8) plus other errors in that vault.

The winner also had high start values and was deducted for lading out of bounds, (0.3)..

  7. No, the judges scored every non-Chinese gymnast like ****. That's why the whole globe is in an uproar and the IOC will be revoking some Chinese medals in several months' time, just like they have in previous years.

  8. it sure seems like it at times, but then I'm no judge so I may be missing the things they are deducting for.  I do think that Nastia got cheated on her vault though.

  9. Not landing on your feet and out of bounds that's not a little mishap, that's a disaster!! The same happened to U.S. on a diff floor exercise and they gave her a very low score. Even the Former U.S. trainer was been interviewed by Bob Costas and even he couldn't believe it. So smarties, I don't know if you were actually watching the event.

  10. No. She did a much easier routine than the Chinese which matters a lot. She did a lot of twisting while Alicia's was very simple. Clean landing is not everything, besides Alicia's landing wasn't that clean either.

Commentators are so biased esp. that Bela guy coz he is the Manager of US gymnastics team.

  11. Of course, but it's not even just America.  Other countries are being screwed, except one (No names :) ).  We can enjoy all the medals we earned knowing that we actually deserve them, unlike other countries.

  12. Her start vaulue was lower but no theres been something with these judges...  but i mean... the girl that won....she steped out of bonce and fell on her knees... i dont get it... the chinese fell and still got a big score... i mean she did good.. realy good.. she was i think the only one except the 33 yo with the lil boy to not fall or step out of bounce... she was so upset.. if she didnt  fall off beam in the team final i dont think they would of got second... but then again the chinese fell off beam too.. its almost like the judges dont take the little point off the chinese or any other team but they sure make sure they are added to the americans... thats what i think regardless of the start value its been that way the whole time....

  13. What kind of bullSH*T is that? It's like saying IOC should revoke the U.S Basketball Medal (which we will get), because we dunk too much....  Learn the rules how events are being judged and scored, then run your mouth.

  14. I don't think so.  I'm no olympic judge, but i did notice some of their mistakes and such.  The americans did easier routines, and their routines had some minor mishaps: wobbly landings or landing then stepping, and minor execution mistakes.  As well, they had some MAJOR mistakes: landing out of bounds, falling over, and falling off of apparatus.  The Chinese teams, however, did much more complex routines with much better executions.  Generally, the Chinese excel at the olympics.  I don't think the Americans are being screwed.  True, some of the judges may be biased, but also we aren't professionals ar judging either, so we don't always know why one routine that scored higher than another.  i think the judges are judging fairly though.  The chinese deserved to take gold.  Their routines were executed well, and the level of difficulty was higher than most others.  Would we be saying the same thing if the Olympics were in America, and all the same circumstances and routines were the same?  Probably not.  Americans are probably just mad that they didn't get gold, and they say that because the chinese got gold, and the olympics are being held in china.

Luis t: I was watching the event! .  Notice i said falling and falling over after a landing i put under major!  read more carefully next time....

  15. NO, but the entire world except China is (including the US)

  16. Most definitely! I agree that Alicia Sacramone should have won the bronze on the vault. I very much hate the judges. The judges are a bunch of ******* a******s for hating on the American gymnasts.
