  1. I don't think so. I think it's a good strategy because you can get another big bat in your line but all the NL fans think is an abomination to baseball (so I've read them say.)

  2. lol Hank Stienbrenner (yankees owner) says pitchers that hit should be removed lol

  3. Honestly I feel that it is a wate of money to pay someone just to hit. David Ortiz of the boston red sox is the DH. he made $13,250,000 in 2007. That year he had 549 At Bats. Which means that he is making about $24,134.79 for each AB. that seems a little high just to pay someone to bat.

I think that all the players that play in the field should have to bat.

  4. Yes i hate the DH

  5. The DH should be removed. Pitchers are players also, and they should bat even though they're not that good at it.

  6. No

  7. I hate the DH. Every manager and player who managed/played in both leagues say that the NL games are more interesting with all of the additional decisions and strategy that the AL lacks. The DH is designed to get the casual fan who wants every game to be like a 12-10 softball game. To me, if you want to bat, you need play the field. Be a whole player. It's tough luck for those stiffs who can hit but can't move three feet to field a ball. It should be up to the manager if he wants to weaken his defense by playing some clown who doesn't even own a glove. Having the pitcher hit is part of the game. Live with it.

  8. In a perfect world, the AL would get rid of the DH. But the player's union won't ever allow it, so we're probably stuck with it.

  9. Why remove it? It makes for exciting baseball.

  10. no and i dont care what you want removed.

Riddle-wrong everyone who plays in baseball has a chance to become an mvp.   i dont care if you play full or not

that just like being racsit to DH beacuse they dont play in the feild. Last time i check  david ortiz has play first base.

  11. No. I like the DH.

  12. I dont think it should be. It's a great way to define the American League, as opposed to the National League. It's a great way for older hitters to continue their career. However, I am strongly against a full time DH (ex. Jim Thome, David Ortiz, etc) receiving an MVP award, since they dont play in the field.

  13. i just think that they should either remove the DH or add it to the NL to its stupid to have them different . but i know it will never change

  14. If you are a baseball purists like myself you don't care for the DH. The DH takes too many decesions out of the managers hand. It just doesn't belong in baseball, but baseball is like the other sports, they want offense and most pitchers can't hit a l**k so that's why it won't be removed anytime soon. But to answer your question yes it should be removed.....in the name of Babe Ruth

Look up his stats as a batter when he was pitching, that's why he went to the outfield so he could play everyday and hit everyday.

    It's all about the offense

  15. it helps bring more fans to the game. big papi and jim thome brought lots of home fans to the ballpark. the scoring should be up because of the DH position. if pitchers go up for at bats, then  they have a larger chance to get hurt. that happened to bartolo colon earlier this year. the only pitcher that hits well would probably be carlos zambrano. he's a pitcher that loves to hit. he probably has a higher batting average than a lot of mlb players. cc sabathia isn't bad either.
