I am referring to the new dumb scoring laws.

They probably want to wait until they are safely out of China before they make the final ruling in reference to the age dispute.

The tie breaker rule they should be embarrassed of.  Even the announcers and a former gymnastics coach agreed that the tie breaker and some of the scores were not right.

Yes. I think they will be highly criticized for this and all of their mishandlings.

They shouldn't have even qualified for the Olympics if they are underaged.

I am embarassed for the IOC. There have been countries competing in these Olympics that have never competed before. And, now, they're seeing all of the controversies. They must be questioning why they even wanted to go in the first place; I would.

Why is the new scoring system flawed?

Just because it didnt favour USA at the time means it's flawed?  Note that the coach and commentators are American.  You should hear the non-American commentators if you can.  The Australian one for example seems pretty fair.
