  1. I think you will find that her name had already  been released to the press at the time this case was brought into the open.  This person clearly has no shame and a couldn't care less attitude about the whole thing.  The Social Services need a complete shake up, just because they have various University qualifications doesn't necessarily mean they have any grasp of the correct way to bring up a child and to persist when unable to see the child.  Just giving up is not an action to be approved of.

  2. Much as I loathe and detest the Mail, this is a non-issue since her name was already in the public domain from the original enquiry.

  3. Right or not it would have been revealed eventually. Most people can read between the lines and ignore the doom and gloom of the mail... It seems their emphasis was on her being a 'born again Christian' rather that the real story. So I doubt their motives, as the issue was her ability to do her job, which applies to all, regardless...

All this article says to me is we are going to get you because you're a born again Christian and how dare you be imperfect...!

  4. They should have after the case has been heard and dealt with in an enquiry, after all isn't this prejudging by the media, not really right in my opinion, innocent until proven guilty, its still the law of the land here.

  5. yes, in that case where she has been asked to give an account of what she did but then does not give it then yes we have a right to know who she is.

she owes the family an explanation of what she did not just the courts

  6. Yes, definitely

  7. Yes. She just didn't do her job. And isn't this story 5 years old?

  8. Yes I do.  Her behavour since the death of that poor child has only proved that she should never have been in a position of responsibility. Shocking. She doesnt even have the guts to explain what happened. No sympathy.

  9. yes, we knew her name anyway, she is notorious as she has shown no respect for the inquiry into Climbie's death or for her own learning as to how this might be avoided in future. She should be summonsed and prosecuted if she continues to evade the authorities

  10. I think all Public Servants should be accountable to the public so yes I think the Mail were right.

  11. Yes.  The story is about her and her repeated failure to appear in court as a witness.  Also about her alleged inadequacies in her job.

A child died - so yes, this is a serious case.

  12. Anything in the Mail is wrong.

    Horrible paper.

  13. She has defied a court Summons to appear and as such she has lost any right to anonymity not because sshe is a social worker but because she has faailed to appear before the court

  14. yes they were, just read the story on the link, and was shocked to read that her own child had been taken into care.

what is the bloody world coming to when you cant even trust a social worker to care for her own flesh and blood never mind the interests of someone elses children

  15. Based on some of the answers so far : No.

Its not so much publishing the name ( which I think was already in the public domain ) but this lady has been condemend by at least some people on the basis of a newspaper report. That's just not right however heated people feel about the underlying issue.

  16. Yes!  The story is apalling and her part in it could have saved a life.  Stupid, stupid woman.

  17. No, as it is not yet proven she is guilty of any wrongdoing.  Publishing her name and picture could prejudice an inquiry or court case.

Proof positive that the Daily Mail is not fit to wipe your **** with.

  18. Why not, she's an adult who is basically on the run from authorities so she doesn't have to give evidence that may bring charges against her.  I see no problem with it.
