  1. Well... If the US doesn't do it there is no one else that can... Those that complain about the situation in Darfur and want "someone" to do "something" about the wanton rapes and killings are usually the same ones that decry any military action by the US outside our borders... It's not just a simple what it cost the tax payers.. it's what it could cost in the future that also comes into play. One can ignore the geopolitical realities in the world and stupidly believe that all one has to do is talk nice to thugs and despots.. but those kinds of actions will come back and bite you in the ***... just ask those that believed in Nevil Chamberlain diplomacy.

  2. We should mind our own business.  Other countries did not police us when we had slavery or slaughtered the Indians.  We worked it out ourselves eventually and we have no more slavery and now the Indians slaughter our wallets with the casinos they operate.

  3. They should sort out their own problems first.

Also - why only get involved when they benefit - eg oil and afganistan. I dont see bush rushing to zimbabwe or the drc etc!!

  4. to a point yes i think some involvement can be valid.i think the U.S. has many other problems and needs to keep its nose out of a lot of stuff they get into.

  5. I would not say "policing..." It is like disturbing the world's welfare for some b.s.

I am not going to argue what is right or what is wrong here but

in any case, yes the USA spends (wastes) all American tax payers' money.

This is not the movie of Rambo. This is the real world.

  6. To some degree if we didn't police the world our economy would suffer.

I know that is hard to understand while we waste our money in Iraq, but in general someone needs to police the world that is set up as a  democracy.  We seem to be that country.  Can you imagin Iran running the world... we would be dead.

  7. US IS POLICING THE WORLD .WHO DO YOU THINK INTERPOL GETS THEIR IDEAS FROM?TtHE UNITED STATES F B I .. THE REST OF THE WORLD HAS MANY US CITIZENS SECRETLY HIDDEN IN THIER GOVERNMENTS . YOU CAN BET YOUR FAMILY AND HOUSE THAT THEY BLEND IN WELL TOO. THESE FOLKS GET TRAINED BY THE BEST IN THE WORLD 500 NEW CITIZENS A YEAR GRADUATE INTO THE WORLD RANKS.

  8. No.   The USA should worry more about our situations here at home and fix those before trying to fix the world.   You have a president in office that calls our constitution that God dmmmmmed piece of paper but yet wants to give the world democracy?   I might not be so politically minded but to me that seems a bit absurd.

  9. Yes, but it what you do depends on the situation also.  Isolationism is just as detrimental as being overly active.

  10. no America should not have itself as extended as they are now. there are organizations for that sort of thing (i.e. the U.N.). When action is warranted from the U.S. that is a different story but when we go running into countries for no logical reason it is utter bull shlt!
