shows that he is a decent man with christian morals and misunderstood by the world and is infact a man of peace who is against the forces of evil.

We all know that the Pope is probably the greatest human being in the world and President Bush sees that and amires that thats why he will be the first President in history to give a dignatary the honour of being met at Airport instead of meeting at White House

  1. it is good that he is showing the pope this level of respect

i think he is against the forces of evil

it has become fashionable to criticise him and to accuse him of ridiculous things

much of the criticism in the UK is from the supporters of the palestinians

the UK muslims have a problem with the west being involved in a war with their muslim brothers

yet the fact that iraq and iran harbour and promote terrorism does not seem to matter to them

not all in the UK see the US as the enemy or Bush as a new Hitler (a totally ridiculous accusation)

  2. "shows that he is a decent man with christian morals and misunderstood by the world and is infact a man of peace who is against the forces of evil".

    Why did you say that?

I think anyone that be friends people like Kenneth copeland and John Hagee are pure evil, not to mention delusional

  3. Ok President Bush, or bushy as I call him, has earnt some respect yes, and maybe he is decent and has morals, but you aren't going to get me to agree with any of that personally.

Maybe it is admiration, but more likely a photo opportunity, to draw our attention away from something he's not told us yet, i.e. a nice smokescreen.

    Edit:

BTW I don't like him at all, but each to our own.

  4. Come on please.  This Pope ..the greatest  - Jesus H Christ woman  - that does not say much for the rest of us...I take offence.

How can a man who runs one of the oldest and most corrupt organisations ever be classifed the greatest. He might be a dear old geyser - Where have you been all your life.

A church again birth control and so much misery. A church which hides paedophilia amongst its workers. A church which does not support the use of condoms....look at Africa.  So much money, but you do not see the Pope putting his hands deep into his cassock - not to give money at least.

I think you should get a new outlook on life.  I do not know why Bush and Laura are going to Andrews to meet this guy. As they drive into town perhaps they could ask him a few questions too.  I am a Christian and a believer - but I have no time for this Pope or many before him. The only decent one - was the one the Vatican had bumped off!

The Catholic and other Christian churches need to put their own houses in order - fast. Then he might merit the fuss

  5. You are kidding right?  Curious George a decent man?  I don't know whether to laugh or cry!!  And to suggest that Cardinal Ratzinger (aka Pope) is 'probably the greatest human being in the world' is just beyond belief!  LMFAO!!!

  6. Being that many priest have tarnished their mission shield and turned to guide the innocent to grip their loins for gratification, I think the Pope is here on official Spiritual business because of the many wounded and President Bush has shown how to turn the other cheek. he gave an example by not declaring an all out war against the priest and the established church of Rome. Turning the other cheek also means knowing when to turn the door k**b and open the door for a doctor of faith who has been given some authority to speak over the wounded and begin the healing process. for the abused and a learning process for the offenders of the cloth.

  7. I don't think it really shows much.....or a least anything significant.

  8. The pope is the greatest human being? No! Batman is the greatest human being ever! (shame about the whole ...being fictional ...thing)

  9. As well as being 'el Papa', he is also the head of the Vatican, which is technically an independent sovereign state. Whatever Bush is, he is meeting the Pope as a head of state.

Are you talking about the dubya? If so, this is just a wind-up.

  10. As far as meeting with the Pope... I imagine that is a good thing for any President to do. I don't know much about the Pope or whether he is the greatest human being, but he is very popular amonst the Catholics in the world.

The media (which too many people think is the all-knowing and all-seeing... just not all-telling actually base their decisions and thinking on) is so one-sided to "supposedly" how "ALL" Americans view President Bush.

Of course he is a decent man and a strong President. If he was viewed so negatively by Americans "as the media" makes it seem then why did he get so many votes the 2nd time around?

I suppose the same people that complain all the time are the haters "anti-American" and would have preferred someone like President Carter to be in office when 9-11 happened, so he could negotiate, hold his 2 peace fingers up and tell the terrorists "love not war, man" and all would be good.

There are some issues I don't agree with about President Bush, however there are far more issues I am thankful it was him who dealt with them.

President Bush is a patriotic American and of course the nearly 1/2 of this country that exploits, yet hates America and whines all the time are going to be bias and hate on him regardless of the good he has done, not only for the citizens and for this country but also for people of other countries. (Ex: Saddam's torture chambers.... gone, Saddam's ethnic cleansing / geonocide.... over).

Instead of recognizing anything good they scream "what about all the other tragedies in the world!" and always will, yet we don't see most of them trying to help where our government hasn't "yet".

It is typical and it will never end, no matter who is president. There will always be haters, they will always complain about things that don't go exactly their way, and they will never give credit for what rightfully deserves credit.... no matter who the President is.

  11. Christians, including the Pope, don't always agree with each other.  But all Christians, by definition, agree on the identity of the greatest human being!

and he is not Dubya the Shrub....(in reply to your comment in using respectful titles)

  12. I would say you don't know your history very well. The pope's job was to sanction royal titles. The last royal title sanctioned by a pope was for Napoleon. Even so, Napoleon requested the pope travel to France because the emperor had no time for travels to Rome. Napoleon met the pope at the French frontier and carried him through a mud puddle to ride in the royal carriage. Symbolic!!!!

And, BTW, one of the 20th century popes condemned America for its separation of church and state with a Bull.

I, for one, am ashamed at Bush's groveling for the Mexican-American vote.

  13. the pope meeting bush is all just a plan to make a one world government and one world religion, and soon they will put chips in you (if you want them to I think) so that when the Sunday blue law is passed they can keep track of who went to church on Sunday and who doesn't by using a satilite in space.  The later a FAKE Jesus will come saying that he had returned but low and behold Jesus said that He would never touch this earth, but He will take us up in the sky and all his honor and glory aka brightness will kill the people who never followed God and if you don't Believe me its a good idea to go look it up in this book called "Triumph Of Gods Love." just google or something I guess but it is loaded with facts and I saw this book since I was a small child and it still said what was going to happen if you do get it, it starts on page 508 chapter 36. So please don't make the wrong choice.

  14. No, is my response to your first paragraph.

It took me quite a while to stop myself choking with laughter when I read the second paragraph!

    Tell me you are joking!!!

  15. I tend to think people who display the most religiosity are the people with the most skeletons in their closet to hide.

  16. Both offices are historically riddled with abuse of power...
