  1. yehh

  2. Actually No.

  3. Are you kidding me? No it is not. And if others might see it as nerdy, just let them think exactly that.

I'm in my school's committee and if you ask me, it's the most fun thing I've done for school in years. Call me a nerd, I'm not, but I don't label anyways.

  4. rate me

  5. yeah but if that's what you like go for it.

  6. yes, but if thats your sort of thing then go for it ha ha.

  7. yeah kind of, but at the same time if your passionate about that kind of thing then go for it because it will look great of college apps and you will probably meet some interesting people there

  8. I think it used to be seen as nerdy, but not so much anymore. At my school, the school committee, debate team, school senate, all of them are seen as cool and, again, at my school, are normally the popular ones.

My friend Andrew is the School Senate President and he is one of the most popular kids in school.

My friend Daniel is in debate team and he's really popular, too.

So, I don't think it's really seen as nerdy anymore. Not only is it not nerdy, it'll also give you precious life skills.

  9. ... no. not at all.

those people are the ones that get a lot of respect from others and help around the school.

the nerds, in my opinion, are the kids who waste their lunch period by sitting in the computer lab playing games online and don't get involved with school activities...

being involved is the most un-nerdiest thing you can do.

  10. No, I do not.  I think that debating teaches essential life skills such as research, conflict resolution, standing up for your beliefs, presenting your ideas, etc.  These are skills that successful people need in life, and being successful is not nerdy.  Also, debating has been made into a competitive event-you can earn recognition, prizes and scholarships.

What I personally consider nerdy is people not finding SOMETHING they enjoy to do, so being bored.  Whether it is sports, reading, debating, music or what not-find something you ENJOY, regardless of what others think, and do it.

  11. I think it used to be but i think it is becoming more cool these days and cool or not cool i think it is still a good thing to do as you can gain great communication skills and its a really good thing to say you've done.

  12. it depends i think the debating team is but if the school committee like organizes the dances then i dont think its AS nerdy...
