I don't think white people honestly think that, but I think there is a uncertainty in that someway we would become minorities in our country for the first time.

How accurate do you think is that assumption?

  1. It is difficult to answer this question without becoming reportably insulting, so I am left with "mind-numbingly inaccurate"

  2. Can anyone do that? Even Superman can not do that! Come on with some serious stuff!

  3. Anyone who has that fear is either insane or incredibly stupid.

Obama  cannot make Whites "a minority".  If whites become a minority in the future, that will be due population growth and it will be Hispanics, not blacks that will make the difference.

  4. Nah, can't happen...we are too well armed! :-)

  5. Just say no to socialism/ watermelon/ fried chicken

  6. Don't talk silly, that was uncalled for.

  7. Who?

    McCain? Good chance there.

  8. You should be more specific about who "he" is! IF you mean Obama, then sure, there are ignorant, racist hicks (see someone above--prime example) who do believe that.

But if you mean McCain, he could make us ALL "slaves" economically, by following in Bush's footsteps! Sure, he shuns Dubya NOW, but his policies are so close, they could be twins.

  9. Ironically, there are white supremacists who support Obama:

  10. That is a ridiculous question.

  11. I think we should all just get along.

  12. Dentata:    You've said it all and said it very well.

  13. There is an irrational fear out their among some Caucasians, who are not out & out racists whose education protrays ignorance. These people have an inner guilt for the sins of the past.  Recalling the atrocities, many feel what was done to Blacks is a scary prospect to which they could not endure.  Just having that irrational fear is enough for them to lash out against anyone who represents that type of change where a Man who considers himself to be black, even if he's from a mixed family, who will have the ultimate power of the land & that scares them.  Those who know better & can recognise those fears to be similar to any other phobia, recognise the greatest fear... is fear itself & look past the pigmentation of anothers skin & listen more carefully to what they are saying & doing.  I've not heard anyone specifically say they're afraid of becoming a slave due to having an elected Black president, but if there are such people out there, they have bigger problems in general than to worry about that irrational fear.
