Do you think that there will come a time where spelling and grammar won't have any meaning anymore?

Since the rise the Internet, many people have become less observant towards their spelling and grammar. People just type in their messages and hope that people will just get the message they want to get across. Unfortunately, however, people who read these erroneous messages do get the gist of what they have read and sometimes reply in an equally grammatically horrendous manner. Do you think grammar and spelling would have no meaning anymore in the near future?

Language is always a reflection of the culture using it. As mankind has evolved so has thought and need. Thought and need are the gears that drive language.

Even in text language, there are definable rules that allow a recipient to make sense of what is sent.

So I perceive there is a form of grammar still, even if spelling has become short-hand in many internet forums and in text messaging.

I don't think we should consider the abstract forward march of language to spell the demise of correct English.

What is correct in one era is met with the disdain of the next.

In every culture language plays a big role in all  culture personality. It doesn't matter how you speak as long as your point and message get across. Language can draw attention to many to people and make them interested in what you have to said or sell.

As far as business it depends on who you trying to atrract and the products your selling . Some businesses uses slang to get young people to but their products especially in urban areas as well as cities..

Others use professionalism with proper use os grammar and english to get the older and mature business type of people in order to sell office attires'. So it all depends what audience your trying to attract, then that the language you use.
