The first thought that ran through my head was "she reminds me of Vasquez from the movie Aliens".

She looks more butch than a lot of women do, but she doesn't look like a man to me.

Her face is rounder than most males' faces are, and it's obvious looking at her throat she doesn't have an Adam's apple.  Were she male, she would have one.

If you gave me that picture and asked me to guess without giving me any other documentation, I would guess she was female.
