And that illegal aliens are in fact dangering many people here because they don't get those health checks and many times work with our food?

  1. The best site for your question is: http://www.dhs.gov/index.shtm

    followed by. . . . . . .  http://www.dhs.gov/ximgtn/

On your statement, it seems that this falls on the employers, which I believe are audited by Health Services as they are licensed and regulated within their respected cities/entities. By Law, each employee has to be trained/licensed and have a physical done prior to be becoming a food handler. Go to any fast food joint or any food establishment and you will find that more than half are not certified food handlers much less had physicals. Again, this falls on the establishment, ultimately, the citizen to be wary of where they eat.....

Apparently, many prefer to read the obvious, read into the question - rather then the question..

    On the Heavy side: http://www.heritage.org/Research/Budget/...

Farm Subsidies are causing 'dirty' agriculture wars so such is the Jalapeno affected as noted: http://www.chainleader.com/articleXML/LN... - however, FDA will continue to investigate for it may lead to a US Company as the owner, no matter where it was grown.

Otherwise, explain this - and I use this company as an example only: http://www.chrobinson.com/produce_sourci...

a company that does not farm yet runs farms making money of products that are forced on farmers not 'big' enough to challenge while earning some revenue thru subsidies and then at the grocery store....

  2. Yes - but the feds want us sick, poor, and stupid so they will probably just increase the number of third world diseased invaders.

  3. You are so right. What about TB and all the other diseases that are brought in to the U.S. from a third world country like Mexico. They don't have innoculations against really serious diseases that could cause epidemics here. Build the fence and kick them out.

  4. NO! and your statement is false! most that work with our food (harvesting and fast food) are Mexicans, and if you read your article, they are not the highest percentage that account for the most TB cases. If the people that hire them would offer benefits, maybe these numbers would be a lot smaller.

"Twenty-two percent of the 37 million foreign-born people in the United States came from sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia, but they account for more than half of tuberculosis cases among those born outside the country, according to the study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta found the highest rates of tuberculosis among immigrants and refugees born in Sub-Saharan African countries including Somalia and Ethiopia; from Southeast Asia including Cambodia and Vietnam; and from parts of Latin America such as Peru."

You didn't state Mexicans, but I'm making a point that most people that handle our food are Mexicans! So I wouldn't worry about our food being contaminated unless it comes from other countries.

Mathew G, lets make that clear, that it is Mexico, not Mexicans! how do you know that the farm producing these Jalepenos isn't an American company that moved to Mexico?

this is another reason why immigration laws are backfiring. They are causing US farms to move to Mexico were the labor force is. OH! and if you read your article, it doesn't solve the problem, and it could be from Texas.....isn't that here in the US?....umm, yeah!

"But Monday’s discovery, the equivalent of a fingerprint, doesn’t solve the mystery: Authorities still don’t know where the pepper became tainted — on the farm, or in the McAllen, Texas, plant, or at some stop in between, such as a packing house."

and before you blame it on the immigrants harvesting the farms, read this article. It'll tell you how fruits and vegtable get contaminated.

  5. This is a growing problem in the UK also.

Diseases which were virtually wiped out have been making a comeback in large numbers.

  6. Potatoe~ Americans with those disease usually seek medical attention anyway so it is recorded with the health department and they recieve treatment. Illegals on the other hand shouldnt be here in the first place and while Americans are immunized at an early age, most illegals never are. What would be the point of citizens getting tested for more diseases if illegals just keep comming here untested and un vaccinated? The return of Measles, Mumps, and TB, in America. The rise in the numbers of these diseases is directly attributed to the illegal population in America.

  7. I would go further.

I would think  that every single person, included American citizen should be test for Tuberculosis, Syphilis and Aids.

Since you are so concern about health of nation the process must be universal .

Because someone is an American citizen does not automatic  mean not a carry of  infections.

    Does matter "i'm back"

We should not take chances. Everybody must be check.

The idea is to have a full prove system of checking for this kind of problem.

Everybody must be check., even U.S Citizen.

Lot of women in America are saying that they got aids from their husbands and boyfriends.

    Test  everybody..

  8. Yes,  It's commonsense.

Pssssst...since the last big crash  at Y/A, people have been moving over to answerbag.com.  It's set up much better.
