Do you think that through the Olympics we are forgetting what's going on in other countries (ex: burma)?

Lately, I only hear Olympics Olympics Olympics!! I am far more interested with the actual situation in Burma and Africa... Don't you find that these sports cover up everything more important? Question: Golden Medal or saving lives??

well firstly i think the olympics are lame and boring and would rather have some real news on like burma and africa problems like you said! . Also the olympics are something special tho that only happen every 4 years and the news channels/newspapers want to try and get money and more people are sadly more entertained by sports and other things. My dad just changes the channel if anything boring is on the news unless its olmypics so you have to think about them making money

I agree with you on this one. Unfortunately, with the way world is, people won't focus much in the news on what's happening on the tragedy side of things. Olympics right now seems to be top priority, and if you ask me, i find that very sad. We can't make anyone else think of what is really happening in the rest of the world, while people suffer in wars, starvation and deadly illnesses. But what we can do is pray that God opens their eyes up. Even the host of olympics itself (China) forced people out of their homes and destroyed them just before the worldwide event so that the city could be prepared to China's standards for the Olympics. Sadly, this is what the world is coming too. Prayer is what we can do right now.

WE ARE EVEN FORGETTING WHAT IS GOING ON IN CHINA.hUNDREDS OF PEOPLE LIKE PROSTITUTES./BEGGARS/HOMELESS cleared off the streets and hidden away in camps until the Olympics is over.
