Do you think that traveling might be addicting? if yes why?

I am surrounded by people who have traveled extensively and in two cases people have lived in countries for 15 and ten years respectively. In every case the luster of travel has worn off and they have all returned back to the states. I guess the ones who are really addicted are the ones who never return at all!!!

I find it addictive ... it's curiosity, I want to know what it's really like ... I see stuff on the TV on wildlife programmes or on the news and I wonder what it would be like in reality, and I wonder what they're NOT showing ... I wonder what the people are like, what their lives are like ... I lived abroad for 10 years when I was younger

I'm finding it more difficult these days because as I get older I can't walk that far without aching and getting tired, but it doesn't stop me trying
