No, I think it is a crime against the planet and everything on it, which is inexcusable on so many levels----since I can assume that humanity caused the violence, why would it be a crime just against humanity?  Why is everything always about humans?

Yes, it is, because human beings are part of nature.  They have nevertheless been rebelling against nature for a long time, calling it progress.  In the process they have been doing out themselves.

Humans have been trading in opportunities that should be part of everyone's birthright, but they deal in them, often withholding them, like they are commodities on the stock market.  In their place they have left people with a phony kind of existence, similar to what you see in the movie 'Pleasantville'.  Many of their institututions are phony and proceed backwards, doing a lot of damage in the process.  It is a part of being on the System.  When people go on the System, they do out others in terms of benefits and opportunities, and whatever they garner through it they get backwards.  The stock market and monetary systems even are phony and contrived, often leaving the world with "artificial scarcities", which benefit the pockets and the agenda of those in power.

Violence against nature is evident in science and in medicine.  Chemists manufacture products such as styrofoam and plastic, which are not biodegradable in the same way paper cups and plates are.  You really have to wonder what happens to all these synthetic materials when they are thrown out.  People frequently are injured from too much of the wrong kind of medical treatment.  Some of the pharmaceutics and diagnostic procedures are actually counterproductive and do more damage than good.  Chemical sprays and gases emitted by carbon fuels  leave an impact on the health of all life forms, including human beings.  Nuclear radiation also is a product of chemistry and physics, and sometimes is touted as an advance.  Forests frequently are cut down faster than they are replaced, leaving an injurious effect on the ecosystems and increasing the warming of the atmosophere.

It is some of the products of modern and contemporary life that comfort us that might some day kill us.

Yes because if you think about it every thing that lives on this earth is considered nature so doesn't that mean we the human race are also considered nature and a crime against nature means that its a crime against  ourselves, so when we harm nature it means we are really hurting ourselves the same amount or more.

i think that not only is it a crime against humanity but a crime against the animals and the enviroment in which we get a lot of medicine and food from. its a serious matter and most people think that nothing bad will ever happen. but violence against nature is horrible and it may destroy habitats, killing MANY animals that live in those habitats.

seriously. people need to think about how they are harming the enviroment because, although many people think that the world revolves around the humans, it doesn't. we shared the planet with the many animals and bugs that we research and learn about every day

Yes, Believe it or not. The end of the world is closer than the majority of the world knows it. We are causing it so we HAVE to stop it. I don't know about you but I would like to live. How bout you? I want to live and I want the future people to live as well. All religions say there will be an end of the world. The end of the world will happen like it beginning of the world.
