  1. We are here to learned passion and love ,I think  that is greatness.

  2. Such an idea is desirable but, it is as idealistic as it is unlikely.

  3. To our natural state of being.

  4. True greatness finds its value in being not noticed or acknowledged for anything other than its beauty....which is not to be understood in the light of possession, but rather in the thought of selflessness...or not being great. Ego, pride, vanity, self, power, popularity...all tend to the lessor qualities of humanity. Yet who finds this a desirable thing in this time and world? Few indeed... I know that in theBible somewhere it describes the reason that "every knee shall bow & and every tongue confess" that Jesus Christ is Lord....That reason is that he left a place of power in the heavens as King and Lord of all...was incarnated here and while here became less and less and less until he suffered the ignonamous death of the cross...all for the benefit of those he loved at the expense of himself. He in so doing became "great." So great that "every knee" shall bow to him...(there is no greatness higher than this) Yet that greatness was achieved in the absolute denial of self and it is for this reason that he was accounted as worthy of THAT GREATNESS. How sad that what is called Christianity in these times finds this thought a horrible thing to be considered or emulated. Prosperity, success, money, vanity, image and "pride" of being a "Christian" rule the day. Budhism is more akin to the Christianity of the apostles than the church of these times. Greatness? It is not to be found where we want to find it...and if we do find true lasting greatness it will be found in another world and dimesion...

  7. yes...because we human are social animal...Humans  society is a chain...  we need to co-exist...,  we need to contribute back to the society,

  8. Well, mine's a little late if that's the case. I've been here two years, through thick and thin.

I started out here, and at the time I remember my life was pretty bleak. It got better and that lasted for about a year and a half, and now I'm where I was before again, but the events don't much correlate with the questions and answers I find here.

  9. I'd like to think so, but going by our past as society, nationally and global, I would have to say we are in it for #1. However, on a small scale, there are pockets of people who center together and help each other morally, financially, and supportively. At this point we guide and support each other to higher heights than you would hit alone. Weather it be a church organization, a neighborhood, social club etc, we do build a loyalty with a group of like interests. But even then it is still looking out for your own.

  10. Sure, we are here for each other, but I'm not sure if greatness is the task at hand. To try to grow in love and understanding would be my surmise.
