After what china is doing to Tibet, the invasion and the political dispute against the separatists.

China being the biggest human rights violator, using children to work in mines, iron workshops and building the Olympic venues and its materials.

Should we participate in their cruel propaganda to get rich in an instant?

Using poor hungry children?

Invading Tibet for more land and resources, exploiting their peaceful land and virgin forests?

Must we let them continue in their evil ways?

Or should we stay in blissful ignorance and let this misfortune happen to innocent children and peaceful tibetians?

  1. I'm boycotting!  I feel for the athletes, but they themselves should question whether they can ethically compete in an event that is suppose to bring people together when the Tibetan athletes can't compete while representing their home.  The occupation of Tibet by China is just that-an occupation.  If anyone believes that the information that we are receiving from the Chinese government is fact, then they are wearing blinders...we are talking about a government who controls and suppresses any information that has not been pre-approved...If you do not believe this, then why is the Chinese government blocking youtube or not allowing international reporters into Tibet...their safety?...I don't buy it...this coming from a country who is calling the Dali lama violent...whatever.  I am not opposed to the Chinese people...I am opposed to their oppressive regime.

  2. There is no need to involve politcs with sport as has been recently done.Having said that we should consider the autonomy of tibet and apply immediate sanctions worldwide on China until they "LIVE and LET LIVE"

  3. NO!  Because China is our main trade way.  If we stopped trade with them it could start World Wat Three. We do not need another war!  They are building up their military and are ready for anything like that.

  4. Boycott most definitely, it isn't going to happen like most things that should, but yes we should boycott.

  5. Why would you want to punish the athletes that have worked their entire lives to make it to the Olympics.

Meanwhile we still trade with China....doesn't make sense.

  6. We should participate, but not allow any American to travel to China during the games.

  7. I'm boycotting by not watching on TV

  8. Yes, we should participate... and have all our athletes wear "Free Tibet" armbands throughout the entire games, or have "Free Tibet" patches and stickers on their attire and equipment.

Force the Chinese government's hand. Humilitation is the best response to totalitarian states.

  9. Boycott, but with our gov't being in bed w/ China and paying lip service to human rights, its not going to happen

  10. I want our athletes and athletes of all other free countries to go and wear an armband that signifies our support of Tibet and denounces the violence and human rights violations of China. I would like all that go to the Olympics to wear a wristband that somehow will become the symbol of our protest against China's actions. The money from these arm or wristbands should go to the children of Tibet. I don't know how to do this, but maybe someone out there can take this idea and run with it. I'll be the first to buy and wear one.

I hope that journalists around the world would use the power of their pens to tell the world the details of China's actions and Tibet's needs!
