  1. Not necessary. They didn't have typewriters (nor computers) 2008 BC. The context is obvious.

    By the way, scholars no longer us the BC v AD distinction, rather BCE and CE (Before Common Era vs Common Era).


  2. If they're worth anything they'll be able to contextualize A.D. vs. B.C.
