  1. It`s the same as when you daydream, you go to your own separate world.

  2. It is possible.

  3. Me personally i dont think that is so. But i know we all dream but we dont always remember. I can recall some and then i forget. I think its our minds playing tricks on us. Maybe wanting something to come true. I will let you know after i sleep tonight.

  4. I have long since pondered this same question...

    ...d**n the lack of evidence!

  5. that's a really interesting concept. I've always been fascinated by dreams and their meanings but I've never looked at it from this persepctive. I suppose it's possible.

  6. It's quite possible, and would account for the fleeting qualtiy of dreams and the "stream of conciousness" feel they have, if you were really glimpsing peices of other realities, other worlds.

  7. That is strong possibility because I always feel like I'm in different time zones, places, eras and generations every time I go to sleep.

  8. Yes you do go through doorways into different realms .When your body sleeps your spirit leaves to take a break away from the heaviness of the flesh.

  9. Well, considering your brain is still active and plugging away when you sleep, no.

Dreams are just the product of the unconscious mind taking over while you sleep. The part of the brain responsible for creating dreams (the pons) sends messages to the cerebral cortex, which in turn 'presents' the dream, much like it presents your thoughts while you are awake and conscious. Since the pons is obviously only active for a few hours a day, there is little coherency in its processes, which is why the dreams it creates are often scattershot and incoherent.

There are no other 'magical' worlds we're visiting when we dream; it's just the pons doing the leftover work of the lobes of the brain.

This is all pop neuroscience, of course, but you get the idea.

  10. im kind of iffy about that i'd like to say yeah but in some ways no. Your sleeping your mind is resting you have to dream any way

  11. No.

  12. No, you go inside the birthmark on Gorbachev's head, where all the streets are paved with monkeys, and children throw flaming shoes at one another.

  13. only if you tell me a nice bedtime story.

    love

  14. Oh my goodness! Another person who has hit on something which is so intriguing and compelling that the question provides some solace to my well being. I have felt that when I dream, my spirit travels to unknown locations but I have never thought that it went to some gateways that are between worlds.  This makes perfect sense to me.  Therefore, in answer to your question, yes we can go to all kinds of gateways when we dream.

  15. Friend,

    No.

    I never think that way.

the dreams are really , in my opinion, great teachers to make us understand about the world we see and live in.

The world we see in the dream, is real as long as we are dreaming.

After we wake up , it vanishes into thin air.

Similarly this world we live is another big dream and one day we finally know it .So I think the dream is a great teacher.

You said the Gateway between  two worlds.

So you are contemplating or imagining different world with gates to each.

No, whatever exists exists within you alone. This is the PEAK OF VEDANTA.

Dream state , if analysed properly and understood properly and followed properly , will surely take one gradually inch by inch towards the ULTIMATE REALITY.

    God bless you.

  16. I've been debating t his thought myself. Sleep is VERY similar to death... those who have experienced death and came back often describe the feeling as "wanting to go to sleep." It wouldnt surprise me if planes can be accessed through sleep...

Also, meditation is similar to sleep, and has been used throughout history to reach a higher plane, understanding, and existence. Astral Projection is probably something you would want to look into, if you are interested.

  17. I've been back and forth many times my sister is dreamland goddess she's the one that guide us through the gate.

  18. Dreams encompass another entire dimension of experience... a world as yet unexplored by most... where a fascinating sphere of activity awaits investigation and possible harvest for greater fulfillment in waking life...While our minds and our bodies communicate constantly with each other.. most of this exchange occurs on an unconscious level.

  19. Sometimes, yes!

  20. Yes .

  21. in my opinion i believe you go to gateways between worlds. why we have a stroke then may be its possible...

  22. you go straight through a gateway and between two further ahead. when you sleep, you are conciously turned off. you are unconciously thinking, and subconciously living. so by sleeping, you slip by the concious gateway of reality, and between the unconcious and subconcious gateways.
