for 1992 they had so much talent and skill that the other teams couldn't even measure up to

but the 2008 team is so much more athletic

I still think the 92 team is better because  they seem like they had great chemistry and they had a 6'9 point guard, extremely athletic shooting guard and big guys over 7 feet

and they all knew how to play defense

Dream team was so successful fans would deem it an insult to compare it with another team.

However having a fantasy game even in your mind is not really harmful ( maybe ).  I think this is how the teams will match up.

Charles Barkley v Melo

Larry Bird v Prince

Clyde Drexler v Kidd

Patrick Ewing v Bosh

Magic Johnson v James

Michael Jordan. v Kobe

Christian Laettner v Redd

Karl Malone v Boozer

Chris Mullin v Williams

Scootie Pippen v Wade

David Robinson v Howard

DT is basically a squad of hall of famers that looks unbeatable. But note that in 1992 olympics Bird ( retired august 1992 )and Magic ( before 92-93 season ) were playing the last days of their careers while their center Robinson wont reach his peak until 1995. Laettner is also on the team though still a college player while Mullin  isnt the very best of this era.

2008 team on other hand is arguably the very best of today's nba players and almost all at their peak ( except kidd ).

Still DT first five of Ewing Malone Barkley Jordan Stockton looks really unbeatable though 2008 squad will give very good account of themselves

Patrick Ewing - 11-time All-Star

Scottie Pippen - 6-time champion, 7-time All-Star, 8-time All defensive first team

You know what, I'll bet on Jordan, Magic and Bird and Kwame Browns against 2008 USA team. Harsh? maybe... but there is really no comparison.

Players from another team will give a camera to their teammates on the bench and ask them to take a picture of him as he is guarding Magic Johnson.

Players after they are beaten by the Dream Team would go directly to USA locker room and ask them for their signatures.

Greatness my friend is not measured by athleticism.

Absolutely NO way in this WORLD?... How old are you, son? Do you know the team that made up the 1992 Dream Team? Compare player to player and there is no way in the world the 08 team will even come close!! You automatically knew the 92 team was going to win gold, it just took 2 weeks for them to receive it. After last Olympics' debacle, ... NO WAY am I going to put anyone, any team ahead of 1992!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

huhh?...MJ makes them weak...what are you on...you're just a Kobe lover and don't realize that MJ is the best player to ever walk the planet...I do think that this team in 2008 however is better because everybody is so unselfish and isn't always looking to shoot but instead looking to pass first...

By the way Kobe isn't even the best player now that title belongs to LeBron "King" James
