  1. It is about the glorious defense of the people in Baltimore (i don't remember the name of the fort...) that saved our country from defeat by the British. I see nothing wrong with glorifying patriotism.  


  2. Yup it is. It is a historic fact. Canada's only enemy has been the US. They attacked us in War of 1812. Oh yeah, Canada won that war.

  4. If you would ACTUALLY listen to the national anthem instead of certain words like rocket....then you would know that it's talking about people in a battle with Britain.

    It's about real events.

    Now if you want to talk about a war chant - look up what the FRENCH national anthem means!

    With the possible exception of "Oh Canada", which I think is about hockey fights...

  7. The American National Anthem is a patriotic poem set to the tune of an old Irish drinking song.  So, I say it's a patriotic drinking song.
