I think the Americans should leave Iraq and let the U.N. deal with it.I don't see why they are still there it is not there land and too many of their own soldiers are dying for this land and oil

I would like to first point out that 5 Americans have died in Iraq this month! God Bless them, it will not be in vein. That is the lowest death toll since the war began. Do you see a pattern here? Terrorism in Iraq is near defeat. Iraq's government is starting to take care of itself. I understand that many people want to get out, but lets not do it prematurely. If we do, we very well could loose our recent progress. I don't think the U.N. has any business stepping in for us. We started it, and now we are going to finish it, and we can do a better job than the U.N ever could do. It's a joke that they are taken seriously at all when it comes to tackling the world's problems. We know it is not our land, we are waiting for Iraq to become well enough off to step in. Give me a break on the oil. It has nothing to do with our mission there and it never did.

i think they should oblivisly they are not of any use bush said  that iraq had nuclear wepeons which was a lie then he said that he had to get rid od saddam well he did then he said that we are  helpping the iraqis by giving them ''freedom and democracy'' because saddam was unfair and all that c**p

No, there would be civil war if they did, but the Americans made a mistake by not finishing the first Iraq war, If they had finished it (got Saddam out) they would have saved thousands of lives, but now their on a hiding to nothing and I can't see a way out for them. I hope and pray that it comes to satisfactory end soon for everyone sake especially for the  Iraq people. Hey Dunrobin  when have the UN achieved anything, if they had pressured Sadam more in the first place the war would not started

I think we should leave the people of Iraq to run their own country. Unfortunately, in the short term there will be severe internal unrest but in due course things will stabilise.

They are still there because of the UN and the UN's numerous resolutions with the Iraqi government.

Thanks to the UN we can't leave until Iraq feels it is secure

& tell the UN it is time for troops to go.

If you check news archives......you will see Iraq told the media it wanted us gone but quickly backstepped on any type of time line

As a parent with a son going back to Iraq.........I wish like Hades , Iraq would take control of their own security and country and let us get the he!! out of there
