  1. Che Guevara is one of their personal heroes so obviously for any right thinking person they should have no credibility.

Check this re-writing of history out.

That is more than a liberal slant with due respect to the young lady above.  This is out and out treason.

  2. They have a left wing feminist agenda. Their 'other agenda', therefore, is indoctrination into this way of thinking. It dovetails nicely with academics, who also indoctrinate our children.

  3. because it should be more popular. it impacts on every aspect of our lives, yet much of the country is ignorant of what goes on in westminster.

  4. I hope so, young people are our future; if they don't understand politics or worse, have no interest in the subject then we are doomed and are guaranteed  more Blairs Browns and Thatchers.

  5. Veritas:- What left wing agenda? I would say they were middle of the road. They do not exactly give Brown a good time. Compared to extreme right wing newspapers like the mail full of right wing opinions & very little fact, if any ,with there own polictical agendas.... Then yes you could assum the BBC is left wing.

I would say the BBC with Question time, Newsnight & BBC news help me to understand polictics. If they were left or right wing do you think they would encourage question time. The current goverment gets slaughted. I would agree perhaps if anything they are left of centre but that said I see things  on the BBC I would say are right of centre.

Really It depends where you draw the centre line.

  6. I really like to watch news programs from other parts of the world.  I live in the USA.

I was watching BBC News regularly for a while, but I stopped, because their slant was so totally anti-American, it was past "alternative view," it was too much.

For example, I like to watch the Spanish language and the English major news programs here in the USA.  On issues of immigration, you get both sides of the story.  But I've never been outraged by the content of either side as I have been with the BBC reporting on American stories.

  7. Yes, the BBC is VERY liberal.

  8. not sure I agree with premise your putting forward but lets presume your correct then I would see that as a good thing.

If they didnt they would be like every other station and therefore no need for public funding.

The BBC helped me get a basic grasp of politics as a kid and really happy I did. Whilst its easy to dismiss Politics there are a lot of people interested and need to learn.

If we dont understand politics we may as well not have a Democracy
