  1. It depends what's coming out.

  2. Of course, it will.

As a monarch Elizabeth II is the richest person on the planet , estimated around 40 billion pounds sterling. This values will never go to "public".

  3. If it does, they need to skip over Charles and crown Prince William.

  4. An American observation:  you watch all the hoopla when Prince William gets married and again when he becomes King.  No way the monarchy is dead.  Just changing.

  5. I think it will continue on;in spite of what some posters say here,I've read that the UK really doesn't want to end the monarchy.A Republic was tried with Cromwell and his son and both versions failed miserably. The country was only too glad to reinstate the monarchy. Author Tina Brown wrote:"For most Britons, the Crown is the golden thread that connects the people to the most glorious moments of their history, exercising a force for stability in an otherwise bewilderingly changing world." She also states that the crown represents a constitutional force above politics.

And the late King of Saudi Arabia noted that one day the only queens in the world would be seen in a deck of cards and on the throne of the UK.

  6. Not for long. The Queen is the only respectable member of her family, the only one truly "regal". The others don' t look or act the part.

  7. I hope it will survive.  I have no wish to have an elected head of state, which would entail many more boring elections, and would not cost us any less.  I think the monarchy is cheap at the price.

  8. No! What's the point. How about stepping into 21st century.
