Although the tax payers do not pay her a wage - she gets that from her estates, we do pay for the security, hangers on etc. that come with the royal family.

I certainly think that we should stop paying that - and get rid of the royal disfunctional family.  An accident of birth should never be a good enough reason for someone to rule over others!

Definitely! We should sell Buckingham Palace and give all the money to the NHS. A ridicuous amount of money goes on royalty.

Actually, it's a fallacy that the Queen gets all this money from taxpayers. She's paid from the Civil List, which gets its money from Crown Lands. In other words, she essentially pays for herself. It's worth adding that she also pays taxes.

There are good reasons for abolishing the monarchy, but money isn't one of them. It's actually just possible we'd lose out financially from becoming a republic. We certainly wouldn't save much.

Definitely not.  Do you know anyone else who has done a job well and uncomplainingly for more than 50 years?  And do you know any other women over 80 who are still doing their jobs?  Pity more people don't love this country as much as she does.  And she is not unduly rich.

The queen and her family her wealthy enough. Her family spent centuries stealing wealth from the masses to make their own lives comfortable. Get rid of these leeches. Accident of birth does not qualify anyone to be head of state.
