Actually does the reverse of its intention? As they stick out like a blind cobblers thumb--more men look at them -- and if a man is predisposed to sexual offenses --will it make any difference what she is wearing?

Also , do they come in designer labels? I know that eyeliner is a real Boon for the Islamic woman of today..

  1. shouldnt be able to wear clothes that hide your identity.its not british custom and shouldnt be forced upon us.

  2. Dress modestly by all means. But i`m sorry that garment is oppressive. Why would any woman in the 21st century want to dress like that?? It is backward.

  3. Well I know that I have to take off my motorcycle helmet before I go into the petrol station to pay for my petrol.

Yet that bunch can walk about all day and nobody says a word to them.

It is like when young ladies remove their pullovers and tie them round their wast,  it tends to draw your attention to their buttocks, rather than hide them.  Interesting point.

  4. dont nuns wear an hijab?

  5. I think that they draw attention to the person especially in rural areas.

  6. Well a woman clad head to foot in a black robe certainly gives me the horn, old chap.

Having said that, I am a notorious deviant.

    Woof woof!

  7. Im not really sure what you are asking here.

But i think the whole point of burkas is to hind the shape of the womans body and so that the  womens husbands are the only men to see their skin.  i dont thinks its to stop people looking at them.

And as for a sexual offender....erm???  what ever tickles the perverts fancy will do it.  some like women in their 80s and i suppose equally as well, a burka could pose an attraction for some.

  8. I think it is absolutely fine for a woman to choose what she wears, whether that be a mini-skirt and crop top or a burkha.

The point is that she must be free to choose.

Many peoples choice of attire is often related to cultural rather than religious requirements.

I am not muslim, hindu or sikh, but I often wear salwar kamiz because I find it a comfortable, practical and modest form of clothing. I am free to make that choice. Why should anyone else not enjoy the same freedom.

  9. I wouldn't like to try wearing that lot and ride a push bike or motorbike - I do both.

I prefer to see someones' face when I talk to them, as I find it

    a) disconcerting as I am missing a lot of body signals - which we take in unconsciously - and I have had tinnitus (ringing in the ear) since I was15 and I find that I fill in the missing bit by lip reading.

    b) aggressive, like people who wear masks, for reasons other than partying jokes.

    c) I've been told by people taught by nuns that they found the nuns habits frightening.

They are good for hiding stuff though.

  10. I really don't care what they want to wear.  Western nations let people dress the way they want, unlike primitive savage nations where women are forced to dress a certain way.

  11. it is all about creating a reaction

i is an attempt to be noticed .... as is the traditional dress worn by second and third generation children - if they are brits as some claim the clothing of south east asia is not their 'culture' or 'tradition' it is a statement of belonging to a culture not british .....

it is a way of saying - look at us - what do you want to do about it?

the lack of sexual control is a damning indictment of these people ..... and how many millions of them live in the UK now?

  12. hijabs are hot

  13. I think it does just draw unnecessary attention, personally, and I know that you can dress modestly without being covered from head-to-toe in a burka. I may not understand their religion, but I think it's rather oppressive..

  14. A burka makes you look different. It is a way of showing you do not want to be part of the wider community. It is odd that so many women choose to dress like this and say it is modest. It is much more than modest it is a statement of separation.

  15. It looks ridiculous. You can dress in a formal suit and find some nice flowery head scarf. I don't know what are they thinking.

  16. I couldn't wait for my neighbours daughters to reach an age where they started to wear burkas....they were the ugliest kids I've ever seen...

  17. its not like that at all,it doesnt matter if more men look at them because they will only see their eyes not their body, they dont come in designer labers like prada etc but we have the cheap end and the expensive end.and for ur last comment im british work and pay my taxes and i have the right to wear whatever i choose. would you rather go out with everything hangin out or dress moderately??

i know which one i choose!!if a woman is dressed like a slapper wiv everythin hangin men will be more attracted to her!

i am not oppressed i choose to wear my hubby has no say in the matter.

  18. i don't mind at least i can't see their moustaches
