  1. The chase format has cost my favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, TWO championship titles.

The chase format works well, though.  I'm only stating that if the old points system were still in place....Gordon would be looking to tie Petty & Earnhardt this season for championship #7.

  2. I don't really like the Chase.  I think it should be like it used to be.  The team with the most points wins....the end.

But since I can't have it my way the Chase helps if my driver is in it, if not then not so much.  But I can always find someone to root for that is in the Chase.  This year most likely yes since Junior is doing so darn good.

  3. definately hurts because jeff gordon would have 6 championships right now instead of 4. the chase has ruined it for him twice. like last year when he was 300 and somethin points ahead of everybody and when the chase started he was second in points because johnson had more wins than him

  4. If my favorite driver is in the Top 12 then it will help him..if he's outside of the 12, then Chase or no Chase, it's not going to matter.

If the season were to end right now, it would help my fave since he hasnt won a race.  He'd be 40 points out of first instead of 124 (or whatever the number is).  Overall, I like the Chase.  It usually cuts down on anyone securing the Cup with more than a couple races to go.

  5. Hurts if it were not for the chase then Smoke would have won a championship 2 years ago.

  6. In the grand schemes of things i have to say yes it helps my driver. Up until this year Kurt has been pretty steady and won races to make the chase.

  7. It doesn't hurt or help, it challenges my favorite driver who btw is Jeff Gordon!!!

    GO 24!

  8. It will help Carl Edwards because he will get to close in on Kyle Busch a little!

  9. I don't think it makes a difference to my driver - Tony Stewart - he likes to win, points or not.

  10. Well I think it depends on how many wins he can get. If he can get more wins than everyone else than it will help him because he will start with the most points. It can hurt him if he does not get many wins or no wins because than he will be a lot of points behind!

  11. It depends on different years lol. I am a Matt Kenseth fan, and i couldn't be happier that there is a chase format this year, since all he has to do is get in the top 12 instead of climb his way to first. But on the other hand, 2 years back, i would have been happier without the chase, since matt was leading the points after richmond. And i know all Jeff Gordon fans wish there wasn't a chase format last year but are glad for it this year

  12. It has cost my driver two championships so I'd say hurt.

  13. it depends on the year.

but right now i'm happy for it because my fave. drivers are Jimmie Johnson & Carl Edwards & Kasey Kahne..

so it'll give them a better chance.

  14. I'm a Jimmie Johnson fan so it helps my driver mostly because the last 10 races of the year are pretty good for him, in general.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  15. This year I think it will hurt my favorite driver. But I think they they should go back to the old way because it helps the driver who may be 12th in standings but penalizes the driver who is first.

  16. The chase is dumb but can either hurt or help any driver.

  17. it depends if your driver has the lead in points by like 300 points then it would hurt him but if your driver is behind in points by alot then it helps him

  18. It depends on how he is running.  Every driver gives their 110% every week chase or no chase so is there a clear cut answer to your question?

  19. I don't know if it helps or hurts but I do know one thing, the chase is boring...
