  1. no the Cubs Regret not letting th Goat in :]

  2. I think they regret the Lou Brock trade even more.

  3. Ya i think they wish they had him but at the time he was just a crack head. (not meant to be mean he's the man) But look at the Cubs team now they dont need much help

  4. There are hundreds of decisions or instances where you might want to go back and change something. But it's been a trend with the Cubs to sign high-profile players to win games now, as opposed to a team like Oakland where they're hoping to stock up on young talent for later. At the time, Hamilton was a loser. Another tragic story of a kid with an incredible gift that just pissed it away. To do what he's done this season is astounding, and good for him to get his act together, but the Cubs are fine. They're full of chemistry the way their roster is now, and they're going to be fine.

  5. Gigs they wouldnt be regretting it because hey got Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell in that deal.

  6. Probably not as much as the Dbacks regret letting Carlos Qunetin go!!!!

  7. Technically the cubs didn't even choose him in the Rule 5 draft. A deal was made before the Cubs were even slotted to pick that the Reds would pay the Cubs $50,000 (the rule 5 price for all players) and the Cubs would take the player of the Reds choosing. It was after all a pretty tough spot for any team to use 1 of 40 roster spots on the addicted Hamilton. Just think how he would look in the Rays line-up had he signed with them in 1999 when drafted.

  8. Of course we regret it. Who wouldn't? But you can never know. Is it just me or do the Cubs always seem to be the team that originally had the great player before they were even known? I dunno it just seems like I always here "he was originally drafted by the Cubs". It angers me.

  9. im sure a loss of his production kinda haunts the Cubs. However you just cant second guess every single move that is made.

  10. idk, but if theyre not, they should. on a similar note, the red sox should regret letting go of hanley ramirez. thank god hes not in the AL east
