Do you think the Democrats trick African-Americans for votes?

Are we really victims as the democrats say? Or are we in charge of our own actions and don't need to depend on hand me outs and government?

There are a lot of studies linking Blacks to using government services at a fast larger percentage than anybody else.  For instance blacks make up 12% of the population yet make up 32% of the abortions, have a high AIDS and STD rate, have a higher than average crime rate, have a higher than average drop out rate, have a higher than average poverty rate, have higher single parent rate than average, have a higher higher divorce rate etc.  Republicans want to cut off that addiction and put discipline (the general definition, not like punishment) in its place.  Blacks have been trying to install discipline, such as cutting divorce, for over 100 years.  Democrats give them the addiction fix like they give poor whites, Hispanics and others.

They have a term in the south. Keeping you on the plantation. It's when one of your own wants you to stay where you are, because it benefits them. It started because of when the slaves were free, many stayed because they were told by their own that they were better to stay where they are and have food and a roof, than on their own. Fear based.

It has translated to anytime you are keeping someone down, anything that would help your personal cause. It is beneficial to  some democrats to encourage them to be taken care of by the state, not just AA, but any group that they can control with fear. Why because they would lose their power base.

What have they really done to help the black community. If the schools are so bad, and these people are so good at raising money couldn't they have some fund raisers to help out these schools? Think of how much money they could raise, for example just in having a dunk tank with some of the leaders in it.

Looking it as a sociology major things are very complex. Back in the days after slavery many of the poor white and the poor black would get together to demand change for the economic conditions. The powers that be did not like that. So in true fashion they adopted the divide and concur method. Examples can come from many places.

Country music and Blues music is basically the same exact root. All of our music has the African beat to it. Many black people used to play the fiddle and the banjo. Bluegrass music is an example, white people would play it also, simply because it was illegal for a black person to play on stage. This is also where black face entertainment came from.

The grand old opry had it's biggest star on the Harmonica D Ford Bailey and he was black. But when TV happened they got rid of him. Records where called race records.

That was just an example of dividing to concur. Think of every thing we always here.

Black leaders, we always hear Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton is the leader of black people. Who made them the leaders? We hear the black vote. But we always hear the white blue collar working class, The middle class white vote, the religious white vote.

So they want there to only be the black vote? Note the middle class vote, not the religious vote.

And when we do hear about the black republican vote what do we hear. Sellout, Uncle Tom.

Until we get rid of the false concept of race people will always want to use the label to keep use divided.
