Quite the reverse.  I think they are secretly pleased, because an awful lot of Republicans are going to find that ticket just too hard to swallow, and will be taking another look at the Obama/Biden ticket.  You see, Obama made a brilliant choice of running mate, and McCain made a terrible one.  They do say that a future president's choice of running mate is his first serious decision, and says a lot about his judgment.

As has been mentioned before, what does it say about McCain's judgment that he continues to sound like Bush most of the time?  And what does this pandering choice of running mate say about his judgment?

he preached now for over a year about change and getting away from washington insiders and then picks a 35 year insider that has voted with his party 97% of the time AND is pro war!

mccain showed real change with his choice.
