Do you think the Detroit Tigers will make it to the playoffs?

At this point in the season, it doesn't look like it.  The Twins and Sox are too strong.  Plus, they as so far back, it would take more than a month to catch up.  I'm surprised, though.  I've been waiting for them to make a move for a while now, but it's just not happening.

I doubt it, and the reason I feel is team chemistry( or lack of it ). As a Sox fan, the season the Tigers are having reminds me of the season the Sox had after winning the Championship. They had all the main pieces still in place, had added some on-paper good looking additions yet just DID NOT play like the club of one year prior. You hope they will break out of it and play like they DID....but it never happens and all are left to wonder, What went wrong?  I kind of got that impression when I saw the Tigers dump Pudge. It seems if you really felt you were going to make your run (no disrespect to Inge) you sure could have used him somewhere down the line. The last series in US CELLULAR also seemed to indicate the Tigers just aren`t up to it this year.The Sox are not really playing well, yet for what seems about the 20th time this year, they come from behind late, to spank the Tigers. Had to be disheartening ! I dont know, just one mans opinion, so We`ll see!

tigers have been my favorite team for 15 years and im 15 years old i live in detroit and i like the tigers but i dont think they will make it cuz there bullpen they keep giving up runs all the time when we are winning and our chemistry we added edgar rentiera and miguel cabera and they not use to there lineup in the batting order i bet you next year though tigers will make it into the playoffs

NO!!!   They are a badly built team for success.  Their pitching is not very good, they invested a lot in having a high power offense that has not clicked on all cylinders and gave up a lot on defense to have the high powered offense.  They have too many guys learning positions on the job right now to succeed.  Great offense but no defense and bad pitching leads to a lot of golf in October!

I doubt it.  they are in 3rd place in the division (7.5 out) and 6th in the wildcard (8.5 out).  Even though these aren't games that could be made up, there are just too many teams to jump over.  They aren't just chasing one team for the division they are chasing two and in the wildcard they are chasing 6 and only a 1.5 up in 6th place....,/

No way. The White Sox and Twins are playing good baseball. I can't see both teams taking a dive big enough for the Tigers to catch up. They just lost 2 out of 3 the to Sox. I thought they were the team to beat before the season but they never survived the really bad start.
